With our modern fleet of Hydraulic and Table drive multipurpose drilling rigs, support equipment Our customer is looking for a seasoned Workshop Manager to join their drilling business in South Auckland. This is a hands-on role where you will provide engineering support and planned preventative maintenance to our service department, delivering reliable, innovative, and practical solutions. Mix of workshop jobs, system builds, and field service callouts with a solid, steady workflow. What You'll Do Hydraulic & mechanical builds — hoses, rams, valves, pumps, brackets, mounts Key Responsibilities: · Manage day-to-day operations of the workshop · Coordinate planned and unplanned maintenance for plant and vehicle fleet · Oversee parts ordering, stock management, and cost control · Track and manage fleet compliance (COF, WOF, RUC, servicing records) · Liaise with external contractors for specialist repairs or servicing · Review and approve workshop invoices in Xero · Maintain accurate records and reports using Excel and other Office tools What We’re Looking For: · Trade qualified in mechanical engineering or heavy diesel · Proven experience in workshop management or senior technician roles · Skilled in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) · Strong organisational and communication skills This is an excellent opportunity to step into a leadership role with a well-regarded and supportive company.
