We're looking for an experienced Working Foreman to run our crews and jobsites day to day. This is a hands-on position. You'll work alongside your crews, lifting, building, installing, and doing whatever it takes to keep the job moving, while also staying on top of the details across several active jobsites. This role is for someone who has run their own crews, not just scheduled subcontractors. You should know how a jobsite should be run and be the type of person who walks onto a site and notices the crooked board, missing bolt, bad weld, wrong measurement, or the material we're about to run out of. What you'll do Work hands-on with crews while leading and directing their work Move between multiple active jobsites to check progress, quality, and safety Review drawings, measurements, and scope with crews so everyone knows what's being built and how Verify work is built according to plans and company standards Catch mistakes, missing details, and potential problems before they become expensive Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and deliveries between jobs Keep track of tools, equipment, and materials so crews have what they need Train crew members and hold them accountable when work isn't being done right Enforce safety procedures and keep jobsites clean, organized, and professional Perform walkthroughs, create punch lists, and make sure every item is completed before a job is considered finished Solve problems in the field, and know when to escalate them Keep management updated on progress, problems, and upcoming needs Communicate professionally with customers when needed What we're looking for Several years of hands-on construction experience Previous experience as a foreman, crew leader, or superintendent directly supervising your own crew Trade skills you've used yourself, not just managed Ability to read construction drawings and take accurate measurements Strong understanding of jobsite sequencing and how trades work together An eye for the difference between good and poor workmanship Mechanical ability and practical problem-solving skills The organization to keep track of multiple crews, jobs, and moving pieces Comfort holding people accountable Clear communication with crews, management, subcontractors, and customers Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for daily travel between jobsites Major pluses Structural steel or welding Concrete forming and finishing Carpentry Equipment operation or excavation Marine, dock, or waterfront construction OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Bilingual in English and Spanish Physical requirements Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs Occasionally lift up to 80–100 lbs, with assistance or a team lift when appropriate Work on ladders, docks, barges, uneven ground, and at heights Work in and around water Long days outdoors year-round in Texas heat and weather Stand, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods This role is probably not a fit if your recent experience has been mostly office-based project management, or if you'd rather manage from a distance than work with your crew.
