This role blends hands-on website development/maintenance with data-driven search optimization to improve site performance, user experience, and search engine rankings. Key Roles & Responsibilities1. WordPress Development & Website Management Build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites using themes, plugins, and page builders (Elementor, Divi, WPBakery, etc.) Perform regular updates to WordPress core, themes, and plugins Troubleshoot bugs, broken layouts, plugin conflicts, and downtime issues Optimize website speed and performance (caching, image compression, code/script minification) Ensure mobile responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility Manage website security, backups, and malware monitoring Set up and manage staging and production environments Perform light custom coding (HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript) for theme and plugin customizations Manage hosting, domain, and SSL-related configurations as needed 2. SEO Strategy & Execution Conduct keyword research, search intent analysis, and competitor SEO analysis Implement on-page SEO best practices (meta titles, meta descriptions, header tags, URL structure, internal linking, image alt text) Conduct technical SEO audits: crawlability, indexability, XML sitemaps, robots.txt, canonical tags, schema/structured data, Core Web Vitals Identify and fix issues such as broken links, duplicate content, thin content, and redirect chains Develop and execute off-page SEO/link-building strategies Manage local SEO efforts (Google Business Profile, local citations, local schema) where applicable Optimize content structure and formatting to improve rankings and readability Required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience managing WordPress websites (CMS, plugins, themes, page builders) Strong understanding of technical, on-page, and off-page SEO principles Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic PHP/JavaScript Hands-on experience with SEO/analytics tools: GA4, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog Understanding of Core Web Vitals, page speed optimization, and mobile-first indexing Familiarity with SEO plugins (Yoast, RankMath) and performance plugins (WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache) Basic image/media optimization skills Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail Good communication skills for cross-team collaboration and reporting Preferred Qualifications Experience with schema markup implementation Familiarity with Google Tag Manager and conversion tracking Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Photoshop) for on-site visual tweaks Prior experience in an agency or multi-site management environment Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
