Must have over 5 years experience and very well versed in all things WordPress. Duties Develop, customize, and optimize WordPress themes and plugins to meet project specifications and enhance website functionality. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement wireframes and develop responsive web designs that ensure a smooth user experience across all devices. Integrate third-party APIs and develop RESTful APIs to extend website capabilities and facilitate data exchange. Manage database operations using MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Microsoft SQL Server to ensure efficient data handling and scalability. Utilize developer tools such as Visual Studio, GitHub, Jenkins, and Trello to streamline development workflows and version control. Implement best practices in web security, performance optimization, and SEO to maximize website visibility and reliability. Conduct unit testing, code reviews, and debugging sessions to maintain high-quality code standards within an Agile software development environment. Qualifications Proven experience developing custom WordPress themes and plugins with a strong understanding of PHP, HTML5, CSS3 (including SCSS/SASS), JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js), TypeScript, and AJAX. Familiarity with front-end development tools such as Bootstrap, Wireframing tools, and responsive web design principles. Knowledge of system architecture including Docker containers, DevOps practices like CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions, and experience working within Linux environments. Hands-on experience with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQLite, or Microsoft SQL Server; knowledge of SQL queries is essential. Experience working with web servers like Apache Tomcat or Nginx; familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS is a plus. Strong understanding of RESTful API development using JSON/XML formats; experience with GraphQL or SOAP web services is advantageous. Ability to work within an Agile framework using tools like Jira or Trello; excellent communication skills for collaborating across teams. Knowledge of SEO best practices for web design; experience optimizing websites for performance and scalability in e-commerce or other web applications is preferred.
