This position is responsible for developing website features, maintaining existing content, and providing technical support as needed. The role also includes administering a global data management system and a QuickBooks financial system. Scope of Work & ResponsibilitiesWebsite Development - Build and enhance responsive web pages that reflect the organization's identity and mission. - Develop custom features for announcements, events, registrations, and community engagement. - Implement user-friendly layouts that support communication and engagement goals. - Integrate multimedia content, including videos, educational materials, and event galleries. Website Maintenance - Perform regular updates to CMS platforms, plugins, themes, and security patches. - Monitor website uptime, loading speed, and overall performance. - Troubleshoot broken links, layout errors, form malfunctions, and media display issues. - Maintain scheduled backups and ensure timely recovery in case of outages. Security & Compliance - Implement best practices to protect websites from malware, unauthorized access, and vulnerabilities. - Monitor security alerts and respond promptly to potential threats. - Ensure compliance with applicable privacy standards and accessibility guidelines. Content Support - Assist team leaders with uploading announcements, educational materials, event details, and organizational updates. - Create or update landing pages for conferences, events, and campaigns. - Support digital engagement through improved SEO, tagging, and content organization. Global Data Management System Administration - Administer the organization's global data management system. - Collaborate with the system's technical team on upgrades, updates, and system changes. - Train users and provide technical support as needed. - Monitor data entry progress and generate monthly reports and analytics. QuickBooks System Administration - Manage and maintain a virtual server hosting QuickBooks. - Oversee infrastructure maintenance, operating system patches, backups, and user permissions. - Provide user support and maintain server security. Collaboration & Communication - Coordinate with organizational leaders, department heads, and communications teams. - Provide clear timelines, progress updates, and recommendations for improvements. - Guide non-technical staff on website usage and content management. Required Skills & Qualifications - Bachelor's degree preferred in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Web Development, or Information Systems. An associate degree may also be considered. - Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design. - Experience with WordPress or similar CMS platforms. - Familiarity with hosting environments, DNS management, and basic server administration. - Knowledge of SEO, performance optimization, and web accessibility. - Understanding of web security best practices. - Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with PHP, MySQL, or modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue. - Experience integrating third-party tools such as event registration systems, donation platforms, or livestream modules. - Graphic design or UI/UX experience. - Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
