# Web Designer/Developer **The Creative Agency** · Fort Collins, CO 80524 · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 7 дней назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Web Designer & Developer The Creative Agency | Fort Collins, Colorado In House-In Person Required Full-Time | $24–$27/hour The Creative Agency is looking for a Web Designer & Developer who understands that a great website is more than something that works. It should feel intentional, polished, intuitive and completely aligned with the brand behind it. This role sits at the intersection of web design, UX, e-commerce and development . We are looking for someone with strong visual instincts who can take established creative direction, Figma designs and brand systems and translate them into sophisticated digital experiences across WordPress and Shopify . You should be just as comfortable refining typography and spacing as you are configuring a Shopify storefront, building product and collection templates, troubleshooting responsive behavior, writing custom CSS or figuring out how to make an interaction work. We are not looking for someone who simply installs a theme and changes the colors. We want someone who understands how design, development, user experience and conversion work together. What You'll Do - Design and develop polished, responsive websites in WordPress and Shopify . - Translate Figma designs, brand systems and creative direction accurately into production. - Customize themes and frameworks well beyond their original appearance. - Build sophisticated page layouts with strong typography, hierarchy, spacing and visual rhythm. - Collaborate closely with our strategy, brand, design, content, digital marketing and production teams. - Help refine UX/UI decisions throughout the development process. - Use HTML, CSS and JavaScript when page builders or native theme settings are not enough. - Build purposeful animations, transitions and interactions that enhance the experience without overwhelming it. - Ensure websites perform beautifully across desktop, tablet and mobile. - Manage website QA across browsers, devices and screen sizes. - Support technical SEO, accessibility and website performance best practices. - Maintain, update and improve existing client websites. - Troubleshoot technical issues and recommend thoughtful long-term solutions. - Bring ideas and recommendations to the table rather than waiting to be told exactly what to do. Shopify & E-Commerce Shopify is an important and growing part of this role. You should understand that an e-commerce website is not simply a branded website with products added to it. The structure, merchandising, navigation, product discovery and purchase experience all influence performance. Responsibilities may include: - Building and customizing Shopify storefronts using modern Shopify themes and Online Store 2.0. - Creating and refining product, collection, landing and content templates. - Customizing Shopify themes beyond standard theme settings. - Working with Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript where appropriate. - Structuring product collections, navigation, filters and merchandising experiences. - Building high-converting product detail pages with clear hierarchy, product storytelling and purchase pathways. - Configuring metafields, metaobjects and reusable content structures. - Setting up product variants, collections, related products, bundles and promotional experiences. - Evaluating and implementing Shopify apps without creating an unnecessarily bloated technology stack. - Integrating email marketing, analytics, tracking, reviews, subscriptions, fulfillment or other third-party platforms as needed. - Supporting integrations with platforms such as Klaviyo and other marketing tools. - Building campaign and product-launch landing pages. - Creating promotional site experiences for launches, seasonal campaigns and major sales periods. - Improving cart, navigation and purchase-flow UX. - Supporting Shopify migrations, redesigns and ongoing optimization. - Troubleshooting theme, app and front-end issues. - Monitoring site performance and identifying opportunities to improve speed and usability. - Understanding the relationship between e-commerce design, conversion rate, average order value and customer experience. Experience with Shopify Plus, custom Shopify development, subscriptions, advanced product configurations or complex integrations is a strong plus. WordPress You should also be highly comfortable developing and maintaining sophisticated WordPress websites, particularly using Elementor Pro. Responsibilities may include: - Developing responsive WordPress websites from Figma and established creative direction. - Building and customizing Elementor systems, templates and global styles. - Extending Elementor through custom CSS, HTML and JavaScript. - Customizing themes and existing frameworks until the final product feels completely unique to the client. - Maintaining plugins, integrations and site functionality. - Improving website performance and troubleshooting conflicts. - Building landing pages and campaign experiences. - Supporting forms, CRM integrations, analytics and marketing technology. - Managing staging environments, site migrations, launches and ongoing maintenance. What We're Looking For You have a strong understanding of both how websites function and how exceptional websites should look . You notice when typography is wrong. You notice when spacing feels off. You understand that mobile design is not simply the desktop version stacked vertically. You understand that an e-commerce product page should be designed around how someone evaluates and purchases a product, not simply how attractive the page looks. You can take inspiration from an editorial layout, luxury brand, architectural website or fashion campaign and understand how to translate that visual thinking into an effective digital experience. And you understand that strong design should never come at the expense of usability, performance or conversion. Experience with the following is strongly preferred: - Shopify - Shopify Online Store 2.0 - Shopify theme customization - Shopify Liquid - WordPress - Elementor / Elementor Pro - Figma - HTML - CSS - JavaScript - Responsive web design - UX/UI fundamentals - E-commerce UX - Technical SEO fundamentals - Website performance optimization - Accessibility best practices - Cross-browser and cross-device testing - Analytics and tracking implementation Experience with additional CMS platforms, animation libraries, advanced front-end development, APIs, custom integrations or e-commerce technology is a plus.
