Water Damage Mitigation Operations Manager
We're looking for an experienced leader who wants to build one of the premier restoration operations in Southern California. We help homeowners and businesses recover from water, fire, mold, and other property damage. Position Summary The Mitigation Operations Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations of our mitigation department. You will oversee our First Responders, Lead Technicians, and Demo Technicians while ensuring every project is completed safely, efficiently, documented properly, and in accordance with IICRC standards. This is a leadership position for someone who enjoys coaching people, improving processes, solving operational challenges, and holding a team accountable to high standards. You will spend time in both the office and the field supporting your team, inspecting projects, developing employees, and ensuring every customer receives an outstanding experience. What You'll Do You'll lead every aspect of our mitigation operations, including: Lead, coach, and develop the mitigation team. Conduct daily morning huddles and production meetings. Schedule crews and coordinate equipment deployment. Monitor production to ensure jobs are completed on time. Review moisture documentation, drying logs, photos, and job files for accuracy. Ensure every project complies with IICRC standards and company procedures. Perform quality control inspections throughout the drying process. Support First Responders in delivering an exceptional customer experience. Help customers understand the restoration process and work collaboratively with insurance adjusters and carriers. Maintain an organized warehouse and shop. Ensure company vehicles are clean, organized, and properly maintained. Oversee the maintenance, cleaning, and readiness of all drying equipment and tools. Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and develop new team members. Conduct coaching sessions and performance reviews. Create accountability while building a positive, team-oriented culture. Continuously improve department systems, workflows, and operational efficiency. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who: Has experience leading mitigation or restoration teams. Understands IICRC standards and industry best practices. Enjoys developing people and building strong teams. Leads with professionalism, humility, and accountability. Has outstanding communication and customer service skills. Is highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities. Can make sound decisions under pressure. Takes pride in maintaining an organized shop, fleet, and equipment inventory. Embraces technology and understands the importance of complete job documentation. Wants to build a long-term career with a growing company. Preferred Qualifications IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) certification. Additional IICRC certifications are a plus. Previous leadership experience within mitigation or restoration. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
