We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative Team Leader to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient distribution, inventory management, and team coordination. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive warehouse experience, and a comprehensive understanding of logistics and warehouse management systems. This role is vital in maintaining smooth workflow, optimising processes, and ensuring safety compliance within a fast-paced environment.

Hours

Tuesday to Saturday 10:00-19:00

Duties

• Lead and supervise warehouse team members to achieve operational goals
• Manage inventory control, including stock levels, cycle counts, and reconciliation using Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Oversee warehouse distribution activities, ensuring timely shipping and receiving of materials
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and safety standards
• Coordinate materials handling operations involving heavy lifting and mechanical knowledge of forklifts and other equipment
• To ensure full compliance with site Health and Safety rules and ensure compliance of all on site to the rules.
• Mentor and train new team members on warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and system usage
• Utilize data from Warehouse Management System to generate reports on inventory status and operational performance

Experience

• Proven experience in warehouse leadership roles within a distribution or logistics environment
• Holds relevant MHE licences
• Strong background in inventory management, warehouse distribution, and process improvement initiatives
• Hands-on experience operating forklifts
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems
• Knowledge of safety standards applicable to warehousing operations
• Experience with logistics processes
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively in high-pressure settings involving materials handling and logistics coordination
