Company: Thalasic Location: Birkenhead, England (Warehouse) Position Type: Full-Time About the Role As Thalasic continues to scale, we are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Operation Manager to drive our warehouse operations. We are a UK-based commercial enterprise specialising in the international import, export, wholesale, and storage of goods. We are seeking a highly organised and analytical Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee our facility layout, inventory workflows, and daily distribution networks. Key Responsibilities Workflow & Logistics Management: Direct and optimise all daily warehouse operations, including international goods-in, customs-staged storage, and export dispatch workflows. Facility & Capacity Planning: Responsibility for warehouse spatial layout planning to maximise cubic storage capacity, streamline high-efficiency picking routes, and ensure safe transit pathways. Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and evaluate warehouse supervisors and team leaders. Handle staff rotas, workforce planning, and performance management. Financial & Vendor Oversight: Manage the warehouse operational budget, control departmental costs, and negotiate commercial terms with freight forwarders and suppliers. Systems & Data Integrity: Oversee the digital Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure real-time inventory accuracy and robust supply chain data tracking. Regulatory Compliance: Maintain full operational accountability for ensuring the facility complies with the Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA), including conducting regular site risk assessments and managing structural safety audits. Requirements Experience: Proven supervisory or managerial experience within a commercial warehouse, import/export hub, or logistics environment (obtained within or outside the UK). Education: A degree or equivalent professional background in business operations, logistics, management, or a structurally relevant field is highly preferred. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in digital Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or enterprise inventory systems. Key Capabilities: Exceptional skills in operational strategy, space management, budgeting, and team leadership. Compliance Knowledge: Ability to quickly master and maintain strict compliance with UK warehouse health, safety, and operational regulations (such as HASAWA). Prior experience managing health and safety frameworks in an international logistics or industrial setting is fully accepted. Why Join Thalasic?
