We are seeking a highly organised and hands-on Warehouse Operations & Distribution Manager to lead our Sydney operation. In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of all warehouse logistics, inventory control, and fleet distribution networks. You will oversee daily stock allocations, fleet maintenance, WHS compliance, and ensure our vending infrastructure operates at peak efficiency. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Logistics & Distribution Management: Plan, organise, and direct daily warehouse operations, ensuring accurate stock control, efficient inventory receiving, and optimised supply chains. Fleet & Route Optimisation: Manage and oversee the transport fleet, scheduling delivery runs, coordinating driver routes, and optimising dispatch workflows for micro-market replenishment. Inventory Control & Procurement: Monitor stock levels, handle vendor orders, minimise variances, and oversee optimal space allocation within the warehouse facility. Equipment & Asset Maintenance: Oversee the operational safety, compliance, and technical maintenance of all warehouse machinery, including forklifts and specialised vending machine equipment. WHS & Compliance: Implement, audit, and maintain Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) standards, ensuring full operational compliance within the warehouse environment. Machinery Operation: Oversee stock movements using warehouse machinery, utilising stand-up and high-reach forklifts for heavy freight as required. Contracts and negotiation skills: May negotiate contracts with suppliers to meet quality, cost and delivery requirements. Ability to work as part of a team: liaise with other departments and customers concerning requirements for outward goods and associated forwarding transportation Team leader: Directs staff activities and monitors their performance. Requirements & Experience: A minimum of 1 to 2 years of proven experience in warehouse operations, supervisor positions, or logistics management roles. Strong background in inventory management systems, supply chain logistics, and fleet distribution/routing. Valid Australian Forklift Licence (LF) with practical experience in warehouse machinery operations. Exceptional organisational, leadership, and communication skills to manage operational workflows and coordinate with suppliers. Excellent capability in managing administrative tasks, operational compliance, and reviewing supplier service agreements. A university degree or equivalent higher education qualification is highly valued (demonstrating strong analytical, commercial, and management capabilities). Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year Work Location: In person
