We specialise in delicious gluten-free pizza made in our bakery here in Chalgrove. Our products are made for major customers including Tesco, Sainsbury's, Waitrose and Ocado, helping make pizza inclusive for more families, regardless of dietary requirements.

Position Overview

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations to ensure the safe and efficient receipt, storage, production feed, and dispatch of goods. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate inventory levels, optimising warehouse processes, ensuring workplace safety, and supporting the manufacturing operation through timely and effective material flow.

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.

· Ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to production lines to support manufacturing schedules.

· Create a safe and efficient warehouse layout structures utilising all storage locations.

· Support site teams to ensure that factory performance is safely optimised across all shifts.

Inventory & Supply Chain Control

· Create accurate inventory systems to enable routine cycle and stock counting.

· Work closely with Procurement, Production Planning, and Logistics teams to coordinate material flow.

· Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.

· Ensure the correct handling, storage, and traceability of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.

· Ensure finished goods are available and dispatched in line with customer and production requirements.

People Management

· Lead, train, and supervise warehouse team members.

· Create staff schedules, assign tasks, and manage performance.

· Foster a positive, accountable, and safety-focused work culture.

· Conduct training in equipment operation, safety procedures, GMP, and warehouse best practices.

· Establish regular 1-to-1s and support the development and performance of all warehouse staff.

Health, Safety & Compliance

· Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, including manual handling, hazardous material handling, and equipment usage.

· Support allergen controls, segregation, and appropriate material handling.

· Maintain a clean, well-organised, and hazard-free warehouse environment.

· Drive high standards of housekeeping, FLT operation, PPE adherence, and safe working behaviours.

· Implement continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, lean warehousing, and risk assessments.

Working Conditions

· May require occasional extended hours to support peak production, stock takes, or operational requirements.

· Achieve and maintain agreed OTIF performance for finished goods/customer dispatches.

GMP

· Develop and implement a GMP checklist for the warehouse

· Create continuous improvement programs in warehouse areas
