Warehouse Manager
About us
Pro System Services provides lighting, sound, rigging and LED video for live events across the UK. Our work spans
concerts and tours, corporate events and private arena shows, for clients ranging from homegrown artists to
international stars.
Every job we deliver starts in our warehouse. A well-run warehouse means the right kit leaves on time, comes back
accounted for, and is ready for the next show.
The role
We are looking for a hands-on Warehouse Manager to take full ownership of our day-to-day warehouse operation. You will make sure jobs are prepped accurately and on time, every equipment movement is tracked correctly in our rental management system (Current RMS), and problems are spotted and raised early rather than at the last minute.
You will lead a team of full-time warehouse staff, casual crew and drivers, and work closely with our Project Managers to keep every job running smoothly from prep to return.
Key responsibilitiesEquipment control and dry hires
- Make sure all client dry-hire equipment is correctly checked out, returned and checked back in on RMS.
- Chase missing or overdue dry-hire equipment promptly when it is due back.
- Check all equipment hired in from other suppliers against the paperwork on arrival, and again before it is returned.
Warehouse operations
- Assist with prepping and de-prepping jobs when required.
- Build a working knowledge of all equipment and products in stock.
- Report any warehouse issues needing attention or maintenance.
Broken and faulty equipment
- Remove any broken, damaged or faulty equipment from stock immediately and place it in the quarantine area.
- Get each item resolved quickly: in-house repair, sourcing parts, sending to a specialist, or returning to the manufacturer.
Staffing and team leadership
- Lead and manage a team of full-time warehouse staff, casual crew and drivers.
- Train and support new members of the warehouse team.
Transport and drivers
- Plan vehicle schedules for loading and unloading.
- Keep driver logs fully up to date.
Communication with Project Managers
- Raise issues, shortages and concerns with Project Managers promptly.
- Contact the relevant Project Manager proactively when information for a job is missing.
About youEssential
- Proven experience running or supervising a warehouse in live events, AV, production or equipment rental.
- Experience using a rental or stock management system (Current RMS ideal) and confident with barcode-based check-in/check-out.
- Working knowledge of lighting, audio, video and/or rigging equipment.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail, able to manage several jobs going out and coming back at once.
- Confident communicator who will challenge unclear information rather than make assumptions.
- Experience leading, scheduling and training a team, including casual staff and drivers.
- Takes ownership and acts on problems without waiting to be told.
- Flexible to work extra hours, evenings or weekends when the workload requires it.
Desirable
- Practical repair skills: cable building and repair, basic fault-finding on lighting and audio kit.
- PAT testing qualification.
- Forklift licence (counterbalance).
- Experience managing a transport schedule and driver logs.
- Full UK driving licence.
What we offer
- Salary as above
- 20 days pro rata annual leave in addition to 8 days leave in lieu of bank holidays. The business has a mandatory closure between Christmas and New Year; any working days during this closure are deducted from your annual leave entitlement.
- Pension, overtime or other benefits
- Ongoing training, including on Current RMS and our equipment.
- The chance to own and shape the warehouse operation behind high-profile concerts, tours and corporate events.
Pay: £34,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
