As Vice President (Senior System Development Manager), you will lead the end-to-end development of low-latency, high-throughput trading and surveillance systems. You will own architecture design, delivery, production support, and incident management while working closely with infrastructure, cybersecurity, business teams, and regulators. Key Responsibilities - Design and develop low-latency trading and surveillance systems for cash and derivatives markets - Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions - Own end-to-end delivery of complex system projects - Lead production incident investigation and resolution - Manage multi-stakeholder initiatives (internal teams, vendors, regulators) - Drive system reliability, resiliency, and high availability design - Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks - Collaborate across infrastructure, security, and development teams - Promote engineering best practices and technical excellence Requirements - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field - 10+ years of experience in system design and development (preferably financial services) - Strong experience in low-latency and high-throughput system architecture - Hands-on coding experience (Java, C++, Python, or similar) - Strong knowledge of distributed systems, resiliency, and high availability design - Understanding of cybersecurity principles and technology controls - Exposure to cash or derivatives markets is a strong advantage - Proven ability to deliver complex, multi-stakeholder projects - Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Originally posted on Himalayas
