We’re looking for an experienced VP of Engineering to join a fast-growing technology company at an exciting stage of its development.

This is an opportunity to build and scale an engineering organisation, shape technical strategy and help deliver innovative products to a growing customer base. You’ll work closely with the CTO and wider leadership team to turn ambitious company goals into clear engineering priorities.

The role:

As VP of Engineering, you’ll lead the engineering organisation through its next stage of growth. You’ll balance the delivery of new capabilities with the need to maintain reliable, scalable systems and build a team equipped for the future.

You’ll be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, making complex decisions and supporting teams through unfamiliar technical challenges.

What you’ll do:

• Translate business and product goals into clear engineering priorities.
• Build, lead and develop high-performing engineering teams.
• Identify hiring needs, leadership gaps and opportunities to improve team structure.
• Partner with technical leadership on architecture, infrastructure and system design.
• Balance product delivery, system reliability and long-term scalability.
• Establish clear ownership and help teams overcome blockers.
• Anticipate future technical and organisational needs.
• Communicate priorities and decisions effectively across the business.

What we’re looking for:

• 12–15+ years of software engineering experience, including significant leadership experience.
• A track record of building and scaling engineering teams in a startup or high-growth environment.
• Strong technical expertise and the ability to contribute to complex architecture and engineering discussions.
• A practical approach to decision-making, with the ability to balance competing priorities.
• Experience hiring, developing and leading engineers and technical leaders.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust across an organisation.
• A collaborative, low-ego approach and openness to constructive challenge.
