In Group Technology, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels. Key Responsibilities Solution Design & Delivery - Lead the design, development, and delivery of iOS applications supporting digital banking capabilities, including: - Customer onboarding and authentication - Portfolio and wealth management experiences - Payments and transaction processing - Real-time notifications and alerts - Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable, and high-performing iOS solutions. - Drive end-to-end delivery within the squad, ensuring: - High-quality implementation - Timely execution - Alignment with architectural and engineering standards - Collaborate with architects and engineering leads to implement scalable application architectures that support evolving business needs. Technical Leadership - Provide technical leadership and guidance to iOS engineers through: - Solution design reviews - Code reviews - Technical problem-solving - Delivery planning and execution - Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence. - Partner with cross-functional teams to manage dependencies, address delivery challenges, and ensure successful implementation of business initiatives. Technology Modernization - Lead modernization initiatives across the iOS platform, including: - Migration from legacy Carthage-based dependency management to Swift Package Manager (SPM) - Progressive refactoring from UIKit to SwiftUI with zero production disruption - Implementation of hybrid application capabilities using WKWebView - Evaluate and adopt AI-assisted development tools and emerging technologies to improve engineering productivity and delivery effectiveness. Engineering Excellence & Operations - Champion best practices across the software development lifecycle, including: - Code quality and maintainability - Automated testing - CI/CD and DevOps practices - Performance optimization and observability Support application deployment, production readiness, and operational excellence using enterprise deployment and monitoring platforms. - Requirements Technical Expertise - Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale iOS applications using: - Swift (including modern async/await concurrency) - UIKit and SwiftUI - iOS SDK and platform APIs - Strong knowledge of modern iOS architecture patterns, including: - MVVM, VIPER, or other modular architectures - Dependency Injection and Composition - Reactive programming frameworks such as Combine or RxSwift - Hands-on experience with: - CI/CD pipelines - DevOps practices - Enterprise deployment platforms Leadership & Delivery - Experience leading engineering squads and coordinating delivery across multiple stakeholders, teams, and business functions. - Demonstrated success in modernizing legacy iOS platforms and managing technical debt at scale. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance technical considerations, business priorities, and delivery timelines. Domain Knowledge Experience in one or more of the following domains is highly desirable: - Digital Banking and Payment Systems - Wealth and Portfolio Management - Investment Products - Insurance Solutions - Financial Planning Platforms Additional Skills - Experience with hybrid mobile architectures and WKWebView integration is an advantage. - Exposure to AI-assisted coding tools and modern software engineering practices is preferred.
