VMware Operations Engineer

Required Technical Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in VMware infrastructure administration and operations.
• Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter Server.
• Practical knowledge of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) architecture and operations.
• Working experience with VMware NSX networking and security.
• Knowledge of VMware Kubernetes Service (VKS) and Kubernetes operations.
• Experience with enterprise backup and recovery solutions.
• Strong understanding of enterprise storage technologies and VMware storage integration.
• Good Linux administration skills (RHEL, Ubuntu, or equivalent).
• Strong troubleshooting skills across compute, storage, network, virtualization, and operating system layers.
• Experience working within enterprise IT operations. High-level Tasks Overview:
• Operate, administer VMware Cloud Foundation environments.
• Monitor the health and availability of VCF components and management domains.
• Perform routine operational activities, lifecycle management, patching, and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot hypervisor, VM performance, connectivity, and availability issues.
• Administer and maintain VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts and vCenter Server.
• Perform virtual machine provisioning, configuration, migration, and lifecycle management.
• Manage clusters, resource pools, templates, snapshots, and distributed virtual switches.
• Monitor and troubleshoot NSX Manager, transport nodes, and Edge nodes.
• Support logical networking, segments, gateways, and routing.
• Support Kubernetes cluster provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Monitor cluster health, node availability, and resource utilization.
• Operate and support enterprise storage platforms and their integration with VMware environments.
• Monitor storage capacity, performance, availability, and utilization.
• Support VMware datastores, VMFS, NFS, and storage connectivity.
• Perform daily infrastructure health checks and proactive monitoring.
• Handle incidents, service requests, and change requests in accordance according to agreed SLA timelines.
• Execute infrastructure maintenance activities and planned changes.

Pay: AED15,000.00 - AED19,000.00 per month
