NovuSkin is growing across DFW, and we’re hiring a VIP Team Lead (Head Esthetician) . This is the senior clinical voice on the floor. You’ll spend most of your week in the treatment room with clients while helping set the standard the esthetician team works to.

This role is built for someone who enjoys both sides of the job: delivering exceptional treatments and helping the providers around them get better.

The split

Hands-on treatments

  • Perform the full service menu, including facials, laser hair removal, and device-based treatments
  • Take complex cases and recovery situations escalated by other providers
  • Support the floor and absorb treatment overflow when needed
  • Serve as a resource for estheticians when they need clinical guidance during the day

Developing the team

You help set the clinical standard and bring the team up to it.

  • Train and coach estheticians on technique, device settings, protocols, and documentation
  • Lead skills sessions and new-service rollouts
  • Help onboard new providers and bring them up to NovuSkin standards
  • Give direct, constructive feedback and identify development opportunities
  • Escalate recurring performance or clinical concerns to the Branch Manager

Client results

You help own the quality of our member experience and treatment outcomes.

  • Run skin analyses and consultations and set honest expectations around timelines and results
  • Build treatment plans designed to produce visible change and adjust them when needed
  • Keep before-and-after documentation current and use it during treatment plan reviews
  • Rebook at checkout and step in with at-risk members before they lapse
  • Support other providers with treatment planning when results are not progressing as expected

Revenue per appointment

You carry a target average ticket on your own book and help the team improve theirs.

  • Grow revenue per visit through appropriate add-ons, series upgrades, homecare, and retail recommendations based on the client’s actual needs
  • Coach providers on identifying opportunities within the treatment plan without compromising the client experience
  • Work the Zenoti numbers, including average ticket, retail attachment, rebooking, and no-shows
  • Partner with the Branch Manager on opportunities to improve provider performance

Provider utilization

You help keep the treatment floor productive and responsive to demand.

  • Monitor the daily book and help coordinate provider coverage as appointment volume changes
  • Identify gaps, overflow, and opportunities to better utilize available provider time
  • Help keep the floor moving during peak periods and support coverage when needed
  • Flag scheduling, overtime, PTO coverage, or utilization concerns to the Branch Manager
  • Partner with the Branch Manager on provider scheduling and labor efficiency

VIP chart audits

Charts stay inspection-ready at all times.

  • Audit treatment notes, consents, intake and contraindication screening, device parameters, photos, and treatment plan adherence
  • Address documentation gaps directly with the provider and retrain when patterns repeat
  • Maintain consistent documentation standards across the esthetician team
  • Report recurring findings, risks, and trends to the Branch Manager

Clinical operations

  • Help maintain treatment room flow, organization, and clinical readiness
  • Monitor backbar inventory and communicate ordering needs before supplies become critical
  • Help ensure devices are properly maintained, calibrated, and ready for use
  • Serve as the location’s designated Laser Safety Officer
  • Maintain laser safety protocols and help ensure device operators remain appropriately trained and certified
  • Follow the medical director’s protocols, standing orders, and delegation requirements
  • Escalate clinical, safety, compliance, or equipment concerns immediately

What we’re looking for

  • Current TDLR Senior Laser Hair Removal Technician or Laser Hair Removal Professional certificate
  • Current Texas esthetician license
  • Laser Safety Officer coursework completed, or willingness to complete it
  • Several years of hands-on aesthetic treatment experience
  • Experience training, mentoring, or serving as a lead for other providers
  • Strong clinical judgment and confidence handling escalated client situations
  • Enjoys delivering treatments and developing other estheticians
  • Comfortable being measured on average ticket, retention, utilization, documentation, and client results
  • Zenoti or similar practice management experience
  • Comfortable giving direct feedback while working collaboratively with location leadership

Compensation

Base salary commensurate with experience, paid semi-monthly, plus commission on membership, service, and retail sales and a monthly bonus tied to total spa revenue.

Health, dental, vision, PTO, and employee treatment benefits.

Location within the DFW metroplex will be confirmed during the interview process.
