It provides a well-regulated platform for trading across multiple asset classes, including equities, derivatives, currency, debt instruments. With a strong emphasis on innovation and investor protection, MSE offers a seamless trading experience to its market participants and investors. ~~ Detailed Job description : Index Operations & Management : - Lead and oversee the end-to-end operations, administration and maintenance of indices across relevant asset classes. ~~ - Ensure timely and accurate index calculation, review, rebalancing and implementation of changes in accordance with approved index methodologies. ~~ - Oversee corporate action adjustments, constituent changes and other events impacting index composition and calculation. ~~ - Establish appropriate controls and review mechanisms to ensure accuracy, integrity and continuity of index operations. ~~ - Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of index methodologies, operational processes and related records. ~~ Index Development & Research : - Lead Exchange operations across market segments. ~~ - Coordinate with Exchanges, Clearing Corporations, Depositories and other MIIs for seamless operations. ~~ - Oversee quantitative research, back-testing, benchmarking and performance analysis for proposed and existing indices. ~~ - Evaluate index concepts, methodologies, eligibility criteria, constituent selection and weighting frameworks. ~~ - Review existing indices periodically and recommend modifications based on market developments and product performance. ~~ - Monitor domestic and global developments in indices, benchmarks and financial products. ~~ Product Strategy & Development : - Drive product strategy and identify opportunities for developing new index-based products across Equity, Derivatives, Debt, Currency and other relevant asset classes. ~~ - Evaluate market trends, competitive offerings, investor requirements and product gaps to identify potential business opportunities. ~~ - Lead feasibility assessment and development of new products/features from conceptualisation through implementation. ~~ - Work closely with Business, Research and other stakeholders to enhance adoption and commercial potential of indices and related products. ~~ Regulatory & Governance : - Ensure compliance with applicable SEBI regulations, circulars and other regulatory requirements relating to indices, benchmarks and exchange products. ~~ - Oversee preparation of regulatory submissions, approvals and documentation required for introduction/modification of indices and products. ~~ - Establish appropriate governance, controls, SOPs and review mechanisms for Index Operations. ~~ - Coordinate with Compliance, Legal, Risk and other relevant functions on regulatory and governance matters. ~~ Stakeholder & Cross-functional Management : - Work closely with Technology, Market Operations, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Business Development and other internal teams for development and smooth functioning of indices and products. ~~ - Translate business and index requirements into functional requirements and oversee testing, UAT and implementation. ~~ - Engage with market participants, institutional clients and other stakeholders to understand market requirements and obtain feedback on existing and proposed products. ~~ - Provide subject-matter inputs to senior management on index strategy, market developments and new product opportunities. ~~ Leadership & Team Management : - Lead and develop the Index Operations team and ensure effective allocation and execution of responsibilities. ~~ - Establish performance standards and ensure adherence to defined timelines, processes and controls. ~~ - Build domain capabilities within the team in index research, operations, product development and market analysis. ~~ - Drive process improvements, automation and operational efficiency within the function. ~~ Candidate Profile: - Strong experience in capital markets, stock exchanges, index providers, financial institutions, broking or research organisations. ~~ - In-depth understanding of index construction, calculation, maintenance, rebalancing, corporate actions and index methodologies. ~~ - Strong understanding of financial products, market structure and exchange operations. ~~ - Experience in developing and launching index-based or capital-market products. ~~ - Sound understanding of applicable SEBI regulatory requirements. ~~ - Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving capabilities, Proven ability to manage senior-level stakeholders and cross-functional initiatives, Strong leadership, communication and team-management skills. ~~ Compensation: - Commensurate with experience and industry standards. ~~
