# Vice President of Facility Design **CLUB4 Fitness** · Ridgeland, MS 39157 · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: вчера* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role OVERVIEW: The VP – Club Expansion is responsible for preparing new Club facilities for opening, coordinating all purchases, equipment and service installations, collaborating with Club4Fitness leadership in identifying improvements and overcoming deficiencies in systems/services, liaising with contractors to prepare new Club facilities while also assisting in refreshing and renovating existing facilities/facility spaces. The VP - Facility Design provides executive-level leadership and oversight of all facility design initiatives supporting new club development, major remodels, refresh programs, prototype evolution, and capital improvement projects across CLUB4 Fitness. This role is responsible for establishing and executing the company's facility design strategy, maintaining prototype and brand standards, driving operational excellence, managing architecture, engineering, and construction partnerships, with an eye to ensuring that projects are completed on time, on budget, and in scope. The VP – Facility Design partners cross-functionally with Finance, Construction, IT Support vendors, Marketing, and Operations to support CLUB4 FITNESS's growth, reinvestment, and long-term development strategy to develop scalable design processes, governance standards, and quality assurance programs while fostering strong consultant relationships, disciplined financial management, and continuous improvement across all projects. Ultimately, this position is accountable for project outcomes, vendor performance, and successful club openings to consistent member satisfaction allowing CLUB4 Fitness to maintain its competitiveness within each market. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK: Oversee all new club design, major remodels, refresh initiatives, and capital improvement projects. Develop and execute the long-term Facility design strategy aligned with company growth objectives. Own and continuously evolve the CLUB4 FITNESS Fitness prototype and design standards. Serve as an expert in material selection and design expertise in the fitness industry. Establish scalable design processes, QA/QC standards, SOPs, project stage gates, and performance metrics. Build and maintain strong partnerships with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, project managers, vendors, and manufacturers. CLUB4 Fitness subject matter expert and point of contact for all related architectural and engineering consulting agreements, expert selection, and performance as well as contract management. Oversee architectural design, interior design, branding, equipment planning, signage, and construction documentation. Provide executive reporting on project performance, consultant performance, budgets, risks, and prototype initiatives. End-to-end oversight and execution of all owner-direct vendor orders, including scope validation, quotes, purchase orders, production tracking, delivery, installation, commissioning, invoice review, warranties, and closeout. Direct accountability for the identified equipment, signage, technology, recovery, amenities, retail, and specialty vendors. ON TIME Ensure on-time delivery of all design packages supporting new club openings and remodels. Develop and manage design schedules aligned with development and construction milestones. Coordinate architectural, engineering, and consultant deliverables to maintain project schedules. Monitor project progress and proactively mitigate design-related schedule risks. Conduct design status reviews and escalate schedule impacts as needed. Communicate schedule updates and critical milestones with internal stakeholders and project teams. Support construction and operations by delivering accurate, timely design documentation. Integrated management of design, procurement, construction milestones, opening readiness, and project closeout. Defined responsibility for pre-punch inspections, final punch-list management, and correction of opening-critical deficiencies. Punch-list closure RFI and submittal turnaround IN SCOPE Maintain CLUB4 FITNESS prototype standards and brand consistency across all projects. Ensure design deliverables support operational readiness and successful club openings. Oversee timely design reviews, RFIs, submittals, and consultant coordination. Lead value engineering while preserving design intent and the member experience Project documentation and closeout Vendor scorecards and corrective actions ON BUDGET Maintain accountability for architecture, engineering, and design consultant budgets. Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range planning. Oversee consultant selection, contract negotiations, and fee management. Review and approve consultant proposals, invoices, and contract amendments. Monitor project budgets and address scope or cost variances. Drive value engineering while maintaining prototype standards and design intent. Optimize consultant performance through strategic partnerships and scope management. Stronger controls around budgets, change orders, scope gaps, vendor performance, and project risks. Opening dates achieved Substantial completion dates achieved Vendor orders released on schedule On-time delivery and installation REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS : 10+ years of progressive facility design, construction, development, or capital-project experience, including at least four years leading teams or major portfolios. Demonstrated success delivering multi-site retail, fitness, hospitality, or comparable commercial projects from design through opening and closeout. Hands-on experience managing owner-furnished equipment, signage, technology, specialty systems, and vendor-direct procurement. Strong command of architectural, engineering, interiors, construction documents, field coordination, QA/QC, and project controls. Proven ability to manage budgets, forecasts, contracts, purchase orders, invoices, change orders, claims, and vendor performance. Ability to read plans and specifications, identify scope gaps, challenge assumptions, and drive timely decisions. Executive-level communication, negotiation, team leadership, and cross-functional influence. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and relevant project systems; experience with platforms such as Bluebeam, Procore, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Asana, or Airtable is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of Fitness and Exercise facilities, equipment, services (including electronic and billing systems), programming, etc. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with vendor representatives, municipal leaders, contractors, and Club4Fitness personnel at all levels of the organization. Experience cultivating membership bases as well as business vendors within C4F communities. Ability to be a self-starter with demonstrated capability to resolve issues ‘in the moment’. Ability to work successfully in both team environments and autonomously. Detail orientation and focus with strong problem-solving skills. Strong time management skills, ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment. Ability to demonstrate and maintain a friendly and enthusiastic attitude coupled with undeniably strong interpersonal communication skills. Computer proficiency with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite as well as fitness and exercise computer-based programs and related software in use at C4F.
