About The Job

Report to the Facilities and Engineering Manager and will be responsible for a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks related to the maintenance and operation of the facility. The role will oversee the existing facility and provide input to the construction of new facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for all building management systems (BMS), including mechanical, HVAC, and electrical.
• Oversee third-party contractors ensuring all work is completed one time per service contracts and to the appropriate internal standards. Oversee all third-party facility vendors.
• Operate in a lead-type role with Facilities Technicians. Provide mentorship and assist with the development of facilities staff.
• Plan and execute capital expenditure projects related to facility improvements, upgrades, equipment installation, etc.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on equipment and facility issues and implement long term corrective measures.
• Write and review SOPs and Work Instructions related to facility or equipment maintenance.
• Conduct regular facility audits to confirm continued compliance
• Manage incoming specifications for equipment with local and federal regulations.
• Identify and oversee construction opportunities within the facility in-line with the ESG initiatives of the company.
• Work cross-functionally with other departments to minimize maintenance related downtime.
• Maintain the facility so that it meets all necessary safety requirements for staff.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records via the asset management system and ensure timely closeout of completed work orders.
• Provide technical support and expertise to other departments as needed.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Electrical) OR minimum 7-10 years of experience in a facilities maintenance role. Preferably 3 years in a Facilities Engineer or equivalent role.
• Facilities maintenance experience in a healthcare, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, or equivalently regulated industry is a plus.
• Experience with electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems preferred.
• Ability to effectively read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience in installing and troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Ability to effectively read equipment manuals and apply knowledge when making repairs or troubleshooting issues.
• Experience troubleshooting a wide variety of equipment and mechanical breakdowns and pinpointing root cause of failure.
• Ability to work independently and with limited direct supervision of tasks.
• Ability to write clearly and concisely regarding technical work completed.

Working Conditions

• This position requires standing for extended periods of time including majority of shift. Walking, kneeling and bending frequently.
• Pushing/Pulling totes of product on carts.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move totes of product weighing up to 50 pounds. We strongly encourage team lift.
• Employee will be required to read small print.
