Excellent timekeeping is essential. Applicants must be able to be in Fonthill for 7:00am. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role involving the delivery, handling and installation of domestic appliances in customers' homes. Excellent customer service and care when working in customers' properties are essential. Main Duties - Assist with the delivery and installation of domestic appliances. - Provide excellent customer service at all times. - Load and unload the van and check that all appliances and deliveries are correct. - Assist with lifting, carrying and manoeuvring large and heavy appliances, including fridge freezers, washing machines and other bulky items. - Drive the company van when required. - Use the navigation system and plan delivery routes. - Contact customers in advance of deliveries or installations when required. - Install freestanding and integrated domestic appliances. - Learn the correct installation procedures for the full product range. - Contact the office regarding deliveries, installations or customer issues when required. - Keep the van clean, organised and tidy. - Remove packaging, waste and returned appliances from the van. - Complete the van service logbook each day. - Carry out a daily vehicle inspection and report any faults or issues to the Manager. - Take responsibility for company tools and equipment provided. - Assist with the training of junior installers when required. - Correctly label faulty and returned products with the relevant docket number and installer code. - Ensure stock, returns and NAH (Not at Home) items are correctly scanned in at the end of each day. - Deal with calls and queries from the warehouse regarding deliveries and installations. - Report all accidents, damage or incidents to the Manager immediately. Essential Requirements - Trustworthy, honest and dependable. - Excellent reliability and timekeeping. - Must be able to be in Fonthill at 7:00am. - Full Clean Category B driving licence is essential. - Excellent customer service skills. - Professional and respectful when working in customers' homes. - Physically capable of safely carrying out the manual-handling requirements of the role. - Comfortable regularly handling large and heavy domestic appliances as part of a two-person team. - Able to follow instructions and installation procedures carefully. - Good communication skills. - Willing to learn comprehensive product and installation knowledge. - Able to work well as part of a team. Job Type Part-time Schedule - Approximately 8-hour shifts - Overtime may be available Expected hours: No less than 16.0 per week Experience: - one: 1 year (required) Licence/Certification: - Full clean driving licence (required)
