US Accountant - (Night Shift)
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field Have at least 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or general accounting, preferably serving US-based clients. Solid understanding of US accounting principles and preferably California-specific tax and compliance requirements Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online Willing to work on a Night Shift schedule. Willing to work onsite in Madrigal Ayala, Alabang. Job Descriptions: Reconcile books and maintain accurate bookkeeping records on a daily and monthly basis using QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software. Prepare and maintain financial statements including Balance Sheets, Profit and Loss Statements, and Income Statements on a monthly basis and report findings directly to the owner. Monitor and report on cash flow regularly, flagging any concerns or irregularities to ownership in a timely manner. Manage all Accounts Payable including vendor payments, credit card payments, utility bills, and any recurring obligations ensuring nothing is paid late or missed. Calculate employee commissions, verify hours worked, track overtime, and ensure California labor law compliance on all payroll inputs before handing off finalized payroll data to the US-based payroll processor. Assist with onboarding documentation and recordkeeping for new hires. File California Sales Tax returns and California Tire Recycling Fee on a quarterly basis accurately and on time. Track all vendor rebates and volume bonuses owed to the business, follow up proactively with vendors to ensure timely payment, and reconcile received amounts against expected amounts. Perform light auditing including verifying that all purchase orders are received in the system, ensuring POs tied to specific customer orders are invoiced or returned appropriately, and monitoring for any suspicious or irregular activity in the books or POS system. Monitor daily cash deposit activity to ensure the store team is completing deposits accurately and on time, reconcile all payment methods in the POS system, manage SNAP financing invoice reconciliation, and handle chargeback documentation and follow-up. Coordinate with the store team on product returns and ensure all returns are accurately removed from the POS system and reflected in the books. Assist the business owner directly with ongoing compliance tasks, deadline tracking, and any state or local regulatory reporting requirements as they arise. Maintain well-organized digital records of all financial documents, invoices, vendor agreements, and compliance filings.
