Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and collections follow-up Review expenses of 130+ expenses reports, audit and conformity with expense policy Support month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and adjusting entries Support budgeting and forecasting activities Respond to audit requests and prepare supporting documentation Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and relevant standards (ASPE/IFRS, as applicable) Identify and correct discrepancies in financial records Maintain organized, audit-ready financial files and documentation Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience (internships count) Actively pursuing or planning to pursue a CPA designation (an asset, sometimes required) Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas) and accounting software (Microsoft Business Central and QuickBooks Solid understanding of GAAP/ASPE/IFRS fundamentals Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy Good communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Discretion in handling confidential financial information Core Competencies Analytical thinking Accuracy and attention to detail Organization and time management Integrity and confidentiality Adaptability and willingness to learn Work Location Home based work set up Monday to Friday; 9:00 AM-5:00 PM EST (Night shift) Should have strong internet connection (minimum of 20 mbps) Should have own Laptop/PC (minimum of i5 8GB RAM) Note: As part of our recruitment process, we conduct a background check on all hired candidates.
