Trip Support Specialist I - Aviation Location: Webster, TX (Remote) Schedule: 24/7 operation with rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays Compensation: $19-$23/hour DOE + bonus potential Keep Global Aviation Moving At World Fuel, we support some of the world's most complex and demanding aviation operations. Every day, our team helps commercial, military, and business aviation customers execute missions across the globe by ensuring they have the permits, services, logistics, and operational support required for success. As a Trip Support Specialist I , you will play a critical role in coordinating international flight operations and serving as a trusted partner to flight crews, operators, and customers worldwide. This is a fast-paced position that combines aviation operations, customer service, logistics, and real-time problem solving. Whether supporting a business jet crossing multiple countries or assisting military and commercial flight operations, you'll help ensure every trip is executed safely, efficiently, and seamlessly. What You'll Do Coordinate Global Flight Operations Support international and domestic flight operations by arranging and managing: - Airport ground handling services - Landing and overflight permits - Airport slots and aircraft parking - Customs, immigration, and regulatory requirements - Hotel accommodations for flight crews - Ground transportation arrangements - Real-time flight following and operational updates Deliver Outstanding Customer Service - Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned customers - Build strong relationships through proactive communication and operational expertise - Respond quickly to schedule changes, operational challenges, and customer requests - Ensure trips are executed accurately and efficiently from planning through completion - Provide solutions in time-sensitive situations while maintaining exceptional service standards Manage Aviation Logistics - Create and maintain trip records within company operating systems - Prepare customer quotations, cost estimates, and operational documentation - Coordinate with airports, government agencies, international vendors, and service providers worldwide - Track trip progress and proactively communicate updates - Ensure accurate operational and billing documentation Support Flight Planning Activities Depending on the customer segment supported, responsibilities may include: - Assisting with flight planning and route analysis - Monitoring weather conditions and operational impacts - Providing weather briefing support - Utilizing flight planning platforms and aviation operational tools - Communicating route, permit, and operational requirements to customers and crews What We're Looking For Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Aeronautics, Aviation Management, or a related field preferred - 0-2 years of aviation industry experience, or equivalent aviation education and training - Strong customer service and communication skills - Excellent organizational and time management abilities - High attention to detail and accuracy - Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment - Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills - Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team environment Preferred Experience Experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus: - Flight planning - Flight dispatch support - Airport operations - Business or corporate aviation - Commercial aviation operations - Military aviation operations - Global trip support - Aviation customer service - Weather briefing services Technical Skills Experience with any of the following is preferred: - PPS8 - Air Inc. - Navblue - Microsoft Office Suite - Flight planning software - Aviation weather platforms - Aviation operational systems What Makes You Successful You are someone who: - Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced operational environment - Enjoys solving complex logistical and operational challenges - Maintains composure and professionalism under pressure - Can effectively manage multiple trips and competing priorities simultaneously - Communicates clearly and confidently with customers and stakeholders - Builds strong working relationships across teams and time zones - Takes ownership of customer outcomes - Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and follow-through - Has a passion for aviation and global operations Why Join World Fuel? - Support global aviation operations. - Work with commercial, military, and business aviation customers. - Gain exposure to international flight operations. - Develop expertise in trip support, flight planning, and aviation logistics. - Join a collaborative team operating at the center of global aviation. #WFS Originally posted on Himalayas
