Treasury Netting & Accounting Manager

As Treasury Netting & Accounting Manager at Omya's Barcelona Shared Services Hub, you will lead the processes related to treasury accounting and intercompany netting activities across the Group.

You will manage a team of specialists and work closely with the Head of Group Treasury and Treasury Operations, ensuring accurate treasury accounting, efficient intercompany settlements, and continuous process improvement as the Group grows, acquires new entities and further standardizes its global finance operations.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES:

Treasury Accounting:

• Own the accounting, reconciliation and month-end activities related to treasury transactions across the Group.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, internal controls and audit requirements.
• Collaborate with Central Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax and Controlling teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Drive standardization, automation and continuous improvement initiatives across treasury accounting processes.
• Maintain accurate process documentation, accounting manuals and treasury system accounting configurations.

Intercompany Netting Operations

• Lead and oversee monthly intercompany netting cycles across multiple business units and legal entities worldwide.
• Coordinate the settlement of intercompany balances, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely execution.
• Manage the onboarding of newly acquired entities and support divestment activities from a process and operational perspective.
• Partner with local finance teams, Shared Service Centers and business stakeholders to ensure smooth participation in netting programs.
• Monitor KPIs, identify process inefficiencies and implement sustainable improvements.
• Maintain netting procedures, workflows, dashboards and supporting documentation.

Leadership and Stakeholder Management

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Treasury Netting & Accounting Specialists.
• Act as the primary escalation point for operational and process-related issues.
• Collaborate with Group Treasury, Process Excellence and Finance teams to support automation, digitalization and transformation initiatives.
• Contribute to the enhancement of treasury and netting systems, controls and operating models.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or a related field. - 4-6+ years of experience in Accounting, Intercompany Accounting, Treasury Operations, Financial Operations, Cash Management or Shared Service Center environments. - Solid understanding of intercompany settlements, reconciliation processes, financial controls and treasury accounting principles. - Experience working with SAP FI. - Previous leadership experience, either as a Team Lead, Senior Specialist, Subject Matter Expert or Coordinator. - Knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles applicable to treasury and intercompany transactions. - Experience with treasury, netting or financial systems (e.g. SAP FI, Coupa Treasury, Kyriba or similar solutions). - Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities. - Very good command of English, both written and spoken.
