The successful candidate will be responsible for managing heavy vehicles and equipment, securing direct contracts with construction companies and project contractors, identifying profitable deployment opportunities, negotiating competitive rates, and maximizing fleet utilization. This role requires a business-oriented professional who can generate direct business without depending on equipment-rental companies or brokers. Key Responsibilities - Identify and secure direct contracts with construction companies, infrastructure contractors, roadworks companies, demolition contractors, and other potential corporate clients. - Find profitable deployment opportunities for excavators, rollers/compactors, bulldozers, heavy vehicles, and 45-foot trailers. - Develop and maintain relationships with procurement managers, project managers, site engineers, and construction company decision-makers. - Obtain new business for earthmoving, material loading, construction-waste transportation, soil removal, and related services. - Research current UAE market rates and prepare competitive quotations based on hourly, daily, per-trip, and project-based pricing. - Identify customers requiring white plaster/gypsum loading services and other material-handling operations. - Identify approved waste-disposal facilities in Dubai, verify applicable disposal fees, and calculate transportation and disposal costs. - Prepare job costing, revenue forecasts, operating budgets, and profitability reports for each vehicle and piece of equipment. - Maximize equipment utilization and minimize idle time, unnecessary trips, fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and operational losses. - Manage drivers, operators, vehicle scheduling, route planning, preventive maintenance, registration, permits, and compliance with UAE regulations. - Monitor fuel expenses, tolls, driver overtime, maintenance costs, disposal charges, and customer payments. - Negotiate service agreements and follow up on quotations, purchase orders, invoices, and outstanding payments. - Prepare weekly reports covering fleet utilization, new business leads, confirmed contracts, revenue, expenses, and profitability. Required Experience and Skills - Proven experience as a Transport Manager, Fleet Manager, Heavy Equipment Manager, or similar role in the UAE. - Strong knowledge of construction and earthmoving operations and the commercial use of heavy equipment. - Practical knowledge of excavators, rollers/compactors, bulldozers, heavy trucks, and 45-foot trailers. - Existing business contacts with construction companies, infrastructure contractors, demolition companies, and other potential direct clients are highly desirable. - Demonstrated ability to generate new business and secure direct corporate contracts. - Knowledge of Dubai construction-waste disposal procedures, relevant permits, and applicable facility charges. - Strong skills in commercial negotiation, quotation preparation, job costing, and profit-margin calculation. - Experience managing drivers, equipment operators, fleet maintenance, fuel expenses, and transport documentation. - Good communication, reporting, organizational, and problem-solving skills. - Familiarity with UAE transport regulations and relevant authority requirements. Performance Expectations The successful candidate will be expected to: - Develop a pipeline of qualified direct corporate customers. - Secure profitable work for available equipment and vehicles. - Reduce equipment idle time and improve fleet utilization. - Submit a practical business development plan with target customers, market rates, and expected monthly revenue. - Maintain clear records of quotations, confirmed jobs, operating expenses, and net profitability.
