Trainee – Operations Administrator & Allocator
We are seeking a motivated school leaver or an individual looking to begin their career in the transport and logistics industry. This is a trainee, entry-level position offering hands-on, on-the-job learning while working closely with our Operations Manager. Throughout the role, you will gain exposure to all areas of the business, including operations, warehousing, and fleet management of 20+ vehicles. As you progress, there will be opportunities to obtain a forklift licence and a truck licence. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to build a long-term career in the transport and logistics industry. Key Duties & Responsibilities Runsheets Produce daily runsheets Review runsheets, including: Driver breaks Pre-start checks Driver declarations Vehicle maintenance requirements Review and file National Work Diaries Scan driver runsheets to the cloud as required Operations Manage electronic diaries Data entry, including: Creation of consignments Update consignment statuses Review bulk allocations Provide customer service support Create and manage errors Handle customer enquiries and incoming calls Provide driver instructions and assistance Book subcontractors and follow up on: Estimated times of arrival (ETAs) Proof of delivery (PODs) Manage CHEP / Loscam pallets: Identify and enter pallet details during data entry Highlight or stamp pallet details on consignment notes Raise errors or contact customers if issues arise Create sales orders and purchase orders for the warehouse Central Customer Service Handle all incoming and outgoing enquiries Act as the first point of contact for customers and company drivers Liaise internally between Sooner Transport Accounts and Management Support to Management Provide assistance to the Managing Director and Operations Manager Shadow management and follow instructions as required Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship Pay: From $50,000.00 per year Work Location: In person
