This includes defining test strategies, leading functional and non-functional testing, driving automation, and ensuring overall quality assurance and governance. The role demands a strong blend of functional expertise in Private Banking and technical proficiency in modern testing tools and methodologies. Key Responsibilities 1. Test Strategy and Planning Define comprehensive test strategies, plans, and approaches for T24 Core Banking programs. Conduct test estimation, scope definition , and identify key dependencies and risks. Ensure alignment of test objectives with business requirements, technical architecture, and project timelines. 2. Test Execution and Delivery Lead and manage end-to-end testing lifecycle – including functional, regression, automation, integration, COB, and non-functional testing (performance, reliability, etc.). Oversee test data preparation , environment planning, test case design, and execution. Coordinate with multiple stakeholders across development, business analysis, and environment teams to ensure smooth delivery. Own defect management – triaging, prioritization, and closure of issues with relevant teams. 3. Quality Governance and Reporting Drive consistent status reporting , test metrics, and dashboards to monitor test progress and quality indicators. Establish test standards, review test artefacts, and ensure traceability of requirements to test cases. Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities ; recommend and implement corrective actions. 4. Leadership and Collaboration Lead and mentor a team of test engineers and automation specialists. Promote shift-left testing practices , collaborating with Business Analysts and Developers to ensure quality across the SDLC. Facilitate agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews for continuous improvement. 5. Automation and DevOps Integration Define and drive test automation strategies for T24 functional and regression suites. Utilize tools such as Selenium, JIRA, and Confluence , integrating testing within CI/CD pipelines. Collaborate with DevOps teams to enhance test coverage, efficiency, and early defect detection. Required Skills and Experience Functional Expertise Minimum 15+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 8+ years as a Test Lead for Temenos T24 projects. Deep understanding of Private Banking operations, products, and processes. Strong domain knowledge in: Securities, Payments, Corporate Actions, Derivatives, Structured Products Accounting, Pricing, Portfolio Management, Forex, Treasury, and Lending Expertise in financial accounting across asset types and exposure to regulatory reporting . Technical Skills Extensive experience in testing T24 modules , including integration testing, COB, and client output validation. Strong understanding of SWIFT message testing and industry-standard messaging formats. Familiarity with test automation using Selenium / Java , and basic knowledge of DevOps practices . Hands-on experience with Agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence ; knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) . Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and test design skills. Soft Skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple testing streams simultaneously. Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes. Preferred Qualifications Certification in Temenos T24 or relevant Core Banking systems . ISTQB / CSTE / Agile Testing certification preferred. Exposure to cloud-based testing environments and CI/CD automation will be an advantage.
