# Tekla Draftsman – Structural Steel **Reliant Steel Construction** · Dubai · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: вчера* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Job Summary Reliant Steel Construction L.L.C. is seeking an experienced Tekla Draftsman / Steel Detailer to join our structural steel engineering and detailing team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate 3D Tekla models, fabrication/shop drawings, erection drawings, General Arrangement drawings, material lists, and connection details for structural steel projects. The role requires strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication and erection practices and the ability to coordinate closely with engineers, fabrication teams, site teams, consultants, and project management. Key Responsibilities Develop detailed 3D structural steel models using Tekla Structures based on IFC, design, architectural, and structural drawings. Prepare accurate shop/fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, single-part drawings, General Arrangement drawings, and erection drawings . Model structural steel members including beams, columns, trusses, bracings, staircases, platforms, canopies, secondary steel, and miscellaneous steel works. Detail steel connections including bolted, welded, base plate, splice, end plate, cleat, stiffener, and other typical structural steel connections . Prepare and extract Bill of Materials (BOM), Material Take-Offs (MTO), bolt lists, assembly lists, and part lists from Tekla models. Generate fabrication data including NC/DSTV files where required for CNC fabrication. Review structural and architectural drawings and identify discrepancies, missing information, clashes, or constructability issues. Coordinate with structural engineers regarding member sizes, connection requirements, design revisions, and technical clarifications. Incorporate consultant/client comments and approved revisions into Tekla models and drawings. Maintain accurate revision control and ensure that only the latest approved drawings are issued for fabrication and erection. Coordinate with the fabrication team to resolve drawing, material, cutting, welding, and assembly-related queries. Coordinate with site engineers and erection teams regarding installation sequence, connection details, and site modifications. Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, approved design drawings, applicable standards, and company QA/QC procedures. Assist in preparing as-built drawings and final project documentation. Ensure all models and drawings are completed within the required project programme and submission deadlines. Requirements Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related discipline . Minimum 2–5 years of experience in structural steel detailing using Tekla Structures. Strong hands-on experience with Tekla Structures is mandatory. Good understanding of structural steel fabrication, welding, bolting, connection detailing, and erection practices . Ability to read and interpret structural, architectural, and IFC drawings independently. Experience preparing fabrication/shop drawings for structural steel projects. Working knowledge of AutoCAD is required. Knowledge of relevant structural steel standards and detailing practices such as AISC, BS/EN, ASTM, and project-specific specifications is preferred. Experience working on projects in the UAE/GCC will be an advantage. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify drawing/model discrepancies. Ability to work independently as well as coordinate effectively with engineers, fabrication teams, and site teams. Good communication and technical coordination skills. Ability to handle multiple projects and meet strict submission and fabrication deadlines. Preferred Skills Candidates with experience in the following will be given preference: Complex structural steel buildings and industrial structures Steel staircases, platforms, trusses, canopies, and architectural steel Connection modelling and detailing Tekla model coordination and clash detection CNC / NC / DSTV file generation Material optimisation and fabrication-friendly detailing UAE structural steel fabrication and erection projects BIM coordination and model-based project delivery Pay: AED2,352.41 - AED7,544.77 per month Work Location: In person
