Technician - High and Heavy

The High and Heavy Technician is responsible for assisting the Team Leader with the repair and maintenance of technical equipment and vehicles at the site. The role requires a sound working knowledge of high and heavy vehicles, along with the practical skills necessary to carry out the required tasks.

The role places strong emphasis on Health and Safety, Environmental Control, and compliance with International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards and practices. The technician must ensure that all maintenance, repair and production activities are carried out in accordance with the instructions and requirements of the Managers / Customers / Manufacturers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the movement, washing, cleaning and preparation of vehicles in the PDC.
• Assist in the upgrade and modification of existing systems as per Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) intructions.
• Assist in Material Handling Equipment operations.
• Assist in inventory, stock checks and logistical tasks.
• Ensure all company policies and procedures, work instructions and notices are adhered to.
• Ensure that all timesheets and associated paperwork is filled in correctly.
• Assist in Mechanical Assembly and Disassembly work under guidance.
• Able to support Container Stuffing & Destuffing
• Perform other duties as directed by the Team Leader, Supervisor or Manager.

Qualifications

• Good English communication skills including reading, writing and speech.
• Have a UAE MHE Drivers License (Manual). Previous experience working in a similar environment.
• At least two years exposure to Maintenance, Logistics, Product Distribution or similar experience (Desirable).
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and instructions (Desirable).
• Be able to provide proof of previous employment with good conduct.

Pay: From AED4,000.00 per month
