SUMMARY The Technical Writer develops, writes, and edits product manuals, procedures, and other technical documents for NBE equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Communicates, via text and graphics, technical procedures and information used by owners, users, and integrators of NBE equipment. Interviews production, engineering personnel, and service personnel to become knowledgeable with controls functionality, maintenance, troubleshooting, safety, installation, and operation of the equipment. Reviews manufacturer documentation, drawings, and other data relative to operation, maintenance, and service of equipment. Studies engineering drawings, schematics, parts lists, specifications, and engineering data to produce an accurate, complete, comprehensive manual for the equipment. Creates appropriate graphics for procedures using graphics software and 3D mechanical design software and lays out graphics and text using publishing software. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (B. S. / B. A.) from four-year college or university required. 2+ years related experience and/or training required.
