# Technical Superintendent (Dry Bulk Vessels) **John Clements Japan Desk (PERSOL PHILIPPINES)** · Manila · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 4 дня назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role About the Role We are seeking an experienced Technical Superintendent to oversee the safe, efficient, and cost-effective technical management of assigned dry bulk vessels. The successful candidate will ensure vessels comply with all applicable classification, regulatory, and company requirements while maintaining the highest standards of operational reliability, safety, and performance. Key Responsibilities - Manage the day-to-day technical operations of assigned vessels. - Monitor vessel performance, machinery condition, and maintenance activities. - Provide technical guidance and support to Masters and Chief Engineers. - Plan and supervise dry-docking projects, major repairs, and vessel upgrades. - Monitor and control vessel technical budgets and operating expenses. - Ensure compliance with Class, Flag State, Port State Control (PSC), ISM Code, and other international maritime regulations. - Conduct vessel inspections and technical audits. - Review defect reports and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions. - Coordinate with Classification Societies, Flag Administrations, shipyards, vendors, and service providers. - Manage spare parts inventory and technical procurement requirements. - Investigate technical incidents and equipment failures and implement preventive measures. - Monitor survey schedules and statutory certification requirements. - Support environmental compliance initiatives, including fuel efficiency and emission reporting requirements. - Evaluate engineering officers and provide technical mentoring and development support. - Prepare technical reports and provide regular updates to management. - Maintain emergency response readiness and provide technical assistance outside normal working hours when required. Qualifications Required - Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Marine Transportation, or a related maritime discipline. - Minimum 12 months of sailing experience as Chief Engineer or First Engineer on commercial vessels. - Minimum 12 months of experience as a Technical Superintendent within a ship management company. - Strong knowledge of: - Classification Society requirements - Flag State regulations - Port State Control (PSC) - ISM Code - Dry Docking and Repair Management - Proven experience handling vessel maintenance planning and execution. - Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. - Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal. - Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and maritime management systems. - Ability to manage multiple vessels and priorities simultaneously. Preferred - Experience handling Dry Bulk Vessels . - Familiarity with environmental and fuel compliance regulations. - Experience managing international crews and stakeholders. - Previous shipyard or fleet management experience. Pay: Php150,000.00 - Php250,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
