Role Overview The Product Owner will work closely with the Product Management and Development teams to gain hands-on experience in managing the development lifecycle of healthcare-focused digital solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a healthcare background and foundational knowledge of product management methodologies to grow into a Product Owner full-tim role. Key Objectives During this internship, you will focus on mastering the following: Master Product Strategy : Learn to align product initiatives with business goals and market demands. Define and communicate a clear product vision and strategy. Improve Understanding of Code Design : Gain foundational knowledge of software architecture and design principles. Collaborate with developers to understand technical constraints and possibilities. Master Strategy for Release Planning and Roadmapping : Create and manage effective release plans that align business priorities with timelines. Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap. Master Requirements Gathering : Develop techniques to collect, document, and prioritize product requirements. Master Elicitation Techniques : Engage with stakeholders to extract actionable insights and requirements effectively. Master Market Research & User Engagement : Analyze market trends and user needs to inform product development. Engage users to validate ideas and refine product direction. Master User Story Writing and Story Slicing : Write clear, actionable user stories. Practice story slicing for iterative delivery. Master User Acceptance Testing and Post-Production Validation : Define and execute UAT to ensure product quality. Validate product performance post-launch. Master Product Marketing & Product Launch : Collaborate on marketing strategies for product launches. Learn to position the product effectively in the market. Utilize Workflow Management Tools Effectively : Gain proficiency in tools like JIRA, Trello, or similar for workflow optimization. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather, document, and refine product requirements. Assist in creating and maintaining the product backlog, including writing clear and concise user stories. Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Analyze and incorporate user feedback into the product roadmap. Support the development team by clarifying requirements and ensuring alignment with business goals. Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to team members and stakeholders. Required Qualifications Education : Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, technology, or a related field. Certifications : Foundational knowledge of product management demonstrated through certifications such as CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner), SAFe PM/PO, or equivalent. Background : Prior experience or academic exposure to the healthcare industry (e.g., clinical experience, health administration, or related fields). Skills : Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello) and productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace). Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Preferred Qualifications Understanding of HIPAA compliance and healthcare workflows. Exposure to software development lifecycles or agile frameworks.
