Technical Manager - MEP

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager – MEP to oversee the technical aspects of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works across construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for technical coordination, design and drawing reviews, engineering compliance, resolving technical issues, and ensuring that all MEP systems meet project specifications, applicable codes, and authority requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the technical functions of MEP works across ongoing construction projects.
• Review and coordinate MEP design drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, technical specifications, and method statements.
• Ensure proper coordination of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and other building services with civil, structural, and architectural disciplines.
• Identify design conflicts, technical discrepancies, and site-related engineering issues, and coordinate effective solutions.
• Oversee technical submissions, RFIs, design clarifications, and coordination with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, applicable codes, and relevant authority requirements.
• Monitor the technical progress of MEP works and provide engineering support to project teams and site personnel.
• Review material and equipment selections, technical evaluations, and proposed alternatives in line with project requirements.
• Coordinate inspections, testing and commissioning, system integration, and preparation of as-built drawings and handover documents.
• Support project management teams in resolving technical challenges, improving work methods, and maintaining quality standards.
• Ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures, health and safety requirements, and company technical standards.
• Lead and guide MEP engineers, coordinators, and technical staff to ensure timely and accurate completion of engineering deliverables.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience in MEP engineering and construction, preferably in the UAE or GCC.
• Previous experience in a Technical Manager, MEP Technical Manager, or senior MEP engineering role within a building construction or contracting company.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and associated building services.
• Proven experience in design coordination, shop drawing review, technical submissions, and resolving multidisciplinary design and site issues.
• Good understanding of UAE construction standards, authority regulations, project specifications, and quality requirements.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with consultants, clients, project managers, site teams, and subcontractors.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; knowledge of BIM/Revit and other relevant engineering software is an advantage.

Pay: AED15,000.00 - AED20,000.00 per month
