This is a hands-on leadership role combining strong software engineering and solution design skills with a solid understanding of data and modern data platforms. Working across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), the Tech Lead works closely with business, product, architecture, and engineering teams to translate requirements into practical technical solutions, guide implementation, and ensure high-quality delivery within Agile environments. What You’ll Do Lead technical design and delivery across applications, integrations, and data-driven solutions Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions Provide hands-on technical leadership, including design and code reviews, troubleshooting, and implementation guidance Define and apply engineering standards, architectural patterns, and development best practices Collaborate with business, product, architecture, engineering, and infrastructure teams throughout the delivery lifecycle Design and build solutions across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments Guide application and integration design using APIs, microservices, messaging, and event-driven approaches Apply strong data fundamentals including data modelling, ETL/ELT, data pipelines, and data integration Ensure solutions meet security, performance, scalability, availability, and reliability requirements Identify technical risks, dependencies, and constraints and drive practical resolution Support Agile delivery through estimation, backlog refinement, solution clarification, and technical decision-making Work with stakeholders to balance delivery priorities, technical quality, and long-term maintainability What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field 10+ years of experience in software engineering or technology delivery, including technical leadership responsibilities Strong hands-on software development background with experience leading engineering teams Strong knowledge of modern application architecture, distributed systems, APIs, and microservices Good understanding of data architecture, data modelling, ETL/ELT, data pipelines, and data integration Experience with cloud platforms and modern engineering practices Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases and strong SQL fundamentals Strong understanding of security, scalability, availability, performance, and other non-functional requirements Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, source control, automated testing, and code quality practices Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make pragmatic technical decisions Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences Additional Skills & Experience Experience with modern data platforms or technologies such as Kafka, Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, or equivalent is an advantage Experience within Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, Telecommunications, E-commerce, or Enterprise Technology environments Knowledge of containerization, orchestration, and cloud-native technologies Exposure to data governance, data quality, lineage, and security principles Experience leading or mentoring software engineers and data engineers Why Join CAPCO Work on engaging projects with some of the largest banks/insurance in the world, on projects that will transform the financial services industry Work in a collaborative, flat, and entrepreneurial consulting culture Access continuous learning, training, and industry certifications Be part of a team shaping the future of digital financial service We offer A work culture focused on innovation and creating lasting value for our clients and employees Ongoing learning opportunities to help you acquire new skills or deepen existing expertise in our financial services offerings A flat, non-hierarchical structure that will enable you to work with senior partners and directly with clients An agile, diverse, entrepreneurial, inclusive, meritocratic culture CAPCO CONSULTING SINGAPORE PTE.
