# Technical Lead (Data Applications and BI) **EPAM Systems** · Zürich, ZH · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: сегодня* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role We're looking for a Technical Lead to join our team in broader Zurich area, Switzerland in a hybrid working mode. You will work as part of an international delivery team operating in a complex enterprise IT environment. In this role, you will act as the senior technical authority for production health, reliability and incident resolution across application-layer data services and BI solutions. You will collaborate closely with Data Architects, BI Engineers, Data Reliability Engineers and other stakeholders to ensure resilience, performance and compliance for business-critical data systems and reporting platforms. Responsibilities Serve as the senior technical escalation point for incidents across Data Applications, BI and visualization domains Lead P1/P2 incident resolution, own root cause analysis and coordinate fixes among cross-functional teams Define and maintain Run technical standards including monitoring, alert thresholds, runbooks and on-call processes Review and approve technical changes entering production, including application releases and dashboard/report updates Identify systemic reliability gaps, prioritize remediation and build an automation backlog for Run operations Mentor Data Engineers and BI Engineers, setting a high technical standard and advancing best practices Report on production health, RCA trends and reliability metrics to the Data Program Manager Drive adoption of observability and incident management best practices across teams Requirements 6+ years of experience in data or BI engineering, with 2+ years as a senior technical lead in production support environments Demonstrated expertise in managing application and BI systems in Run/production contexts Strong experience with Microsoft Power BI, including dashboard and reporting operations Proven leadership in incident command and root cause analysis (RCA) Hands-on knowledge of monitoring and observability tools for application and BI stacks Experience in technical mentoring of engineers across multiple disciplines English language fluency at B2 level or above Nice to have Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, including SLIs, SLOs and error-budget management Familiarity with AI-assisted monitoring or agentic operational tooling Experience in building automation scripts or self-healing capabilities Understanding of cloud-native data query tools such as Amazon Athena Exposure to cloud data platforms like Snowflake or ClickHouse We offer 5 weeks of vacation EPAM Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) Enhanced parental leave Extended pension plan Daily sickness allowance insurance Employee assistance program Global business travel medical and accident insurance Learning and development opportunities including in-house training and coaching, professional certifications, and courses Please note that any offers will be subject to appropriate background checks We do not accept CVs from recruiting or staffing agencies For this position, we are able to consider applications from the following: Swiss nationals EU/EFTA nationals Third-country nationals based in Switzerland with an appropriate work permit Displaced people from Ukraine who are currently in Switzerland and hold, or have already applied for, S permits
