Technical Lead

We're working with a leading global commodities trading firm looking for a hands-on C#/.NET Technical Lead to join their Trade Capture team.

You'll take technical ownership of business-critical trading systems processing approximately 10,000 trades daily across Power, Gas, Metals and other commodities.

This is an opportunity to lead technical decisions, mentor engineers and drive modernisation while remaining actively involved in development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and enhance high-performance trading applications using C#/.NET.
• Lead and mentor engineers, promoting best practices.
• Build and maintain real-time messaging systems and trading platform integrations.
• Work closely with traders and business stakeholders.
• Modernise existing systems and introduce new technologies.

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on C#/.NET development experience.
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, TIBCO or Azure Service Bus.
• Background in Commodities, FX, Hedge Funds or trading environments.
• Experience leading or mentoring software engineers.
• Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and real-time systems.
• Proactive approach to engineering and interest in AI-assisted development.

Package:

• Up to £140,000 base + 15–20% bonus + Benefits
• Hybrid working | 3 days per week in London
