The Role Our Technical Engineers provide frontline IT and telecoms support to our customers, keeping their systems running smoothly and resolving technical issues efficiently. This is a fast-paced, collaborative role that calls for strong troubleshooting skills, clear communication, and a genuinely customer-focused mindset. We're looking for someone adaptable, eager to learn, and committed to delivering high-quality support across a diverse client base. Responsibilities Helpdesk Support - Respond to customer enquiries and technical issues via phone, email, or remote tools promptly and professionally. - Troubleshoot level 1 (progressing to level 2) hardware, software, and network issues to identify and resolve problems efficiently. - Escalate complex issues to the Technical Solutions Manager or the Technical Director in line with the company's escalation process. - Provide out-of-hours cover and support as scheduled. Incident Management - Log, prioritise, and manage service requests using our ticketing system, Autotask. - Follow our processes to ensure SLAs are met and resolutions are properly documented. - Keep clients clearly informed with updates and resolutions. Systems Maintenance - Carry out routine maintenance tasks, eg. updates, patches, and backups on client systems. - Monitor systems using our RMM tools to identify potential issues proactively. - Assist with onboarding and offboarding client users, including configuring accounts, devices, and access permissions. Client Support & Training - Provide basic training to end-users on software, hardware, and security best practices. - Build and maintain positive client relationships through excellent customer service. Technical Projects - Support standard IT projects such as hardware deployments, software installations, and migrations. - Work alongside senior team members to implement and configure new systems and solutions. Required Skills & Qualifications - Proficiency troubleshooting Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and common productivity applications. - Basic understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, DHCP, and VPNs. - Familiarity with RMM and PSA tools commonly used in MSP environments. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g. Microsoft Azure, AWS). - Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles and tools. - A full driving licence, and access to your own vehicle is also essential, for the occasions you are visiting a customer F2F.
