In this pivotal role, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects that drive technological innovation and organisational transformation. Your leadership will ensure seamless integration of new systems, processes, and tools, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence enterprise-wide change while managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise in project management methodologies, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and cloud computing will be instrumental in achieving our strategic objectives. Duties Lead and coordinate end-to-end project management activities for change initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals using methodologies such as SAFe, Scrum, Waterfall, and Kanban. Develop comprehensive project plans utilizing Microsoft Project, Visio, and other project management software to track progress, milestones, and deliverables. Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to define scope, objectives, and success criteria for technology projects. Oversee software development processes including test-driven development (TDD), user acceptance testing (UAT), and release management to ensure quality standards are met. Manage program timelines effectively by applying strong time management and organisational skills while coordinating resources across multiple teams. Conduct analysis using SQL, Oracle, and other tools to evaluate system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions aligned with disaster recovery plans. Lead cross-functional teams through Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban; utilise Jira, TFS (Team Foundation Server), and SharePoint for collaboration and tracking. Ensure smooth deployment of new systems by managing release schedules in cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing project outcomes, refining processes, and promoting best practices in project management and software development. This role is equally about people and delivery. You will be comfortable having direct, supportive conversations with team members, representing the team to the wider business, and rolling up your sleeves on operational challenges when needed. Experience Proven experience managing large-scale change management or technology projects within a complex organisational environment. Strong background in project management methodologies including SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), Waterfall, Scrum, and Kanban. Demonstrated expertise with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, TFS, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel). Extensive knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle), including requirements gathering, testing (including UAT), deployment, and post-implementation support. Proficiency in SQL databases (SQL Server or Oracle) for data analysis and troubleshooting technical issues. Experience leading software development teams utilizing test-driven development (TDD) principles in cloud computing environments like AWS or Azure. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, negotiate effectively with stakeholders, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines. Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and implementing robust security measures within IT environments is preferred. Proven experience managing a small technical team (2-6 people), including line management, performance and development conversations.
