This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children reach their full potential and wants to make a genuine difference within a KS2 classroom environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to provide high-quality support to pupils, helping to create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday from 8:30am until 3:30pm, with the role initially running until March 2027. There is also the potential for the position to be extended or become permanent for the right candidate. Your Responsibilities As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, your role may include: Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils Helping children to develop academically, socially and emotionally Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required Encouraging positive behaviour and helping to maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment Assisting with the preparation of learning resources and classroom activities Building positive and professional relationships with pupils, staff and parents Helping to ensure every child feels supported, confident and able to achieve their full potential What We Are Looking For The ideal candidate will be: Passionate about working with children and supporting their development Experienced working within a primary school or educational setting Confident supporting children across Key Stage 2 Patient, caring, enthusiastic and reliable Able to use their own initiative while also working effectively as part of a team A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills Committed to creating a positive and engaging learning environment A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification and previous school experience would be advantageous, although the right attitude, passion and commitment are equally important.
