We combine strong technical accounting with modern tools to give our clients clarity and confidence in their numbers. About the Role We're looking for a Tax Manager to join our growing tax team. You'll support the full scope of our tax work, from income tax and year-end filings to compliance projects, while taking full ownership of our sales tax function. This is a great fit for someone with solid U.S. tax experience who enjoys being both a hands-on preparer and a trusted point of contact for clients and teammates. What You'll Do & What You Bring - Enrolled Agent (EA) credential or equivalent experience, with a proven track record in U.S. income tax and year-end work - Support all areas of the tax practice while running point on sales tax: compliance, filings, nexus reviews, and client questions (prior sales tax experience is a plus, not a must) - Prepare and review business and individual returns, managing deadlines across a multi-client portfolio - Communicate clearly with clients and internal teams - Own your work end to end, staying organized and on top of details without needing to be chased - Help build tax processes and documentation as the team grows, staying current on federal, state, and local changes Nice to Have - Experience with clients in hospitality, vacation rental, or e-commerce - Familiarity with tax software and sales tax platforms (e.g., Avalara, TaxJar) - Experience in an outsourced accounting or CPA firm environment Is Howard Right for You?
