We are seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to take ownership of high-volume recruitment across our skilled trades and technical workforce. This role will focus on attracting and hiring Electricians, Plumbers, Carpenters, Service Technicians, Surveyors, Apprentices and other operational talent across Ireland and the UK. This permanent position is based out of our head office in Carrickmacross and comes with salary, bonus, pension, healthcare and additional benefits. This role is ideal for a hands-on recruiter who enjoys high-volume hiring, building strong hiring manager partnerships, and finding practical ways to attract skilled trades and technical talent in a competitive market. About the Role The successful candidate will have previous experience recruiting within trades, labour, construction, engineering or technical sectors, either in-house or within an agency environment. They will thrive in a fast-paced setting, managing large candidate pipelines, conducting high-volume screening calls, coordinating interviews, maintaining ATS records, and partnering with hiring managers to ensure a seamless recruitment process. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing Talent Acquisition team and play a key role in supporting Activ8's continued expansion across Ireland and the UK. About The Role Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end recruitment for trades, technical and operational roles across Ireland and the UK. Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce requirements and deliver effective recruitment solutions. Source, screen and interview candidates through job boards, referrals, direct outreach and talent networks. Build and maintain talent pipelines to support current and future hiring needs. Coordinate interviews, candidate communications, feedback and offer management. Ensure an excellent candidate and hiring manager experience throughout the recruitment process. Maintain accurate candidate records, pipelines and recruitment activity within the ATS. Produce recruitment reports and hiring metrics to support workforce planning. Develop market knowledge across the construction, engineering, renewable energy and field services sectors. Build relationships with external partners, training providers and industry contacts to support talent attraction. Support employer branding initiatives and continuous improvement of recruitment processes. Skills & Experience Recruitment experience gained in-house or within an agency environment, ideally across trades, technical, engineering or construction sectors. Proven ability to manage multiple vacancies in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Strong sourcing, screening and interviewing experience. Excellent stakeholder management, communication and relationship-building skills. Proficient in ATS and candidate sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter and Indeed. Knowledge of recruitment compliance, right-to-work checks and qualification verification. Highly organised with strong attention to detail and administration skills. Resilient, proactive and able to manage competing priorities effectively. Commercially minded and results-focused with a commitment to delivering an excellent candidate and hiring manager experience. Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and strong team ethic.
