The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the organisation's workforce by identifying, engaging, and hiring high-calibre individuals while supporting employer branding, workforce planning, and long-term organisational growth. Department Human Resources Reports To Head of People & Culture Job Purpose The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for attracting, sourcing, assessing, and hiring top talent to meet the organisation's current and future workforce needs. This role manages the full recruitment lifecycle, partnering closely with hiring managers to develop effective recruitment strategies, build talent pipelines, strengthen employer branding, and deliver an exceptional candidate experience. The successful candidate will ensure a seamless and compliant recruitment process while contributing to the organisation's wider people and talent objectives. Key Responsibilities Talent Acquisition & Recruitment Manage the end-to-end recruitment process from vacancy approval through to onboarding. Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring requirements, workforce planning needs, and recruitment priorities. Develop and implement sourcing strategies to attract high-quality candidates for current and future vacancies. Create compelling job advertisements and manage postings across appropriate recruitment channels. Actively source candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, social media, professional networks, referrals, recruitment events, and direct search activities. Screen applications, conduct interviews, and assess candidate suitability against role requirements and organisational values. Coordinate and facilitate interviews with hiring managers and key stakeholders. Manage candidate communications throughout the recruitment lifecycle to ensure a positive candidate experience. Conduct reference checks and support pre-employment screening requirements. Prepare and issue offer letters and employment contracts. Support salary benchmarking. Coordinate onboarding activities to ensure a smooth transition from candidate to employee. Monitor recruitment metrics including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, source effectiveness, vacancy status, and offer acceptance rates. Talent Pipeline Development Promote the organisation's employer brand through, networking, recruitment events, and industry engagement. Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical and future vacancies. Develop relationships with industry groups, and professional associations. Identify innovative recruitment methods to attract diverse and high-calibre talent. Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within recruitment practices. Stakeholder Management Act as a trusted recruitment partner to hiring managers and business leaders. Provide guidance on recruitment best practices, interview techniques, and candidate selection processes. Ensure hiring managers are regularly updated on recruitment progress, market insights, and candidate activity. Deliver recruitment metrics and insights to support informed workforce planning and hiring decisions. Recruitment Systems, Compliance & Reporting Maintain accurate candidate and vacancy information within Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment databases. Produce recruitment reports and analytics to support business decision-making. Monitor recruitment KPIs and recommend continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure all recruitment activities comply with employment legislation, GDPR requirements, and company policies. Maintain confidentiality of candidate and employee information. Support audits and compliance reviews as required. Monitor right-to-work documentation and employment eligibility requirements. Skills & Experience Essential Minimum 3 years' experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, or resourcing. Proven experience managing full-cycle recruitment processes. Strong direct sourcing and candidate engagement skills. Experience recruiting across multiple business functions and levels. Excellent interviewing, assessment, and selection skills. Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, and recruitment technologies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel. Desirable CIPD qualification (or working towards) or equivalent HR qualification. Experience recruiting within retail, luxury retail, professional services, or corporate environments. Knowledge of employer branding and talent attraction strategies. Experience with recruitment analytics and workforce planning. Understanding of Irish employment legislation and GDPR requirements.
