Talent Acquisition Partner – Research & Scientific Recruiting Location: Boston, MA / Hybrid Duration: Contract – 6+ Months Industry: Academic Healthcare / Research Position Overview A leading Boston-based academic healthcare and research organization is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Partner/Recruiter to support hiring across its growing research community. This role will focus heavily on recruiting professionals who support clinical, scientific, laboratory, and academic research initiatives . The ideal candidate has prior experience recruiting within an academic medical center, hospital research organization, university, biotechnology organization, research institute, or similarly complex scientific environment . We are looking for a recruiter who understands that research recruiting is different from traditional healthcare recruiting. This individual should be comfortable partnering with researchers, investigators, research leaders, and hiring managers to understand highly specialized talent needs and translate those needs into effective recruiting strategies. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle recruiting for positions supporting clinical, scientific, and academic research programs. Partner closely with research leaders, hiring managers, investigators, and HR partners to understand staffing needs and develop targeted recruiting strategies. Source and recruit candidates for specialized research-related positions, including: Clinical Research Coordinators Research Assistants and Research Specialists Research Project and Program Managers Laboratory and Scientific Staff Data and Research Analysts Biostatistics and Bioinformatics professionals Research Administration professionals Other specialized scientific and research positions Develop proactive sourcing strategies for difficult-to-fill and highly specialized positions. Conduct candidate screening and assessment while providing hiring managers with thoughtful recommendations. Manage multiple searches simultaneously in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. Build pipelines of research and scientific talent through LinkedIn Recruiter, professional networks, research organizations, universities, and other sourcing channels. Provide a strong candidate experience throughout the recruiting process. Track recruiting activity and maintain accurate information within the applicant tracking system. Qualifications Demonstrated full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably within research, academic medicine, healthcare research, life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, higher education, or a research institute . Prior experience recruiting research and/or scientific professionals strongly preferred. Experience partnering with highly specialized hiring managers, researchers, scientists, or technical subject-matter experts. Strong sourcing skills and experience identifying passive candidates for niche positions. Ability to quickly understand complex positions and translate technical requirements into effective recruiting strategies. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and consultative skills. Comfortable managing multiple priorities and searches with varying levels of complexity. Experience working within a large, matrixed organization preferred. Ideal Background Candidates coming from academic medical centers, major research hospitals, universities, biomedical research institutes, life sciences organizations, or other research-intensive environments will be especially well suited for this opportunity. The strongest candidate will combine excellent recruiting fundamentals with a genuine understanding of the research talent landscape and the ability to build credibility with sophisticated research and scientific hiring leaders.
