# Systems Analyst **HEARN INDUSTRIAL SERVICES** · East Chicago, IN 46312 · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 8 дней назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Company Every shipment that leaves a Hearn Industrial Services (HIS) warehouse depends on systems that work: the right label on the right pallet, inventory people can trust, and data our customers rely on. HIS is a third party logistics and warehousing provider serving automotive OEM customers across sites in the United States and Canada. Our Information Technology team builds and supports the tools that keep those operations moving. We keep red tape low: decisions get made quickly, and good ideas get put into practice. Summary Description This role is the IT team’s presence at our East Chicago site, and it matters because the site runs on it. You will be the person operations turns to when a production printer stops, a laptop fails or a connection drops. You will also turn their data questions into reports and queries they can act on, make small improvements to the applications they use, and help launch a new picking application at the site. Few roles touch as much of the business, from the label printers on the warehouse floor to the reports management and customers see. Responsibilities · Development, reporting and data · Write, test and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures and views for operational and customer reporting. · Build and update reports and dashboards for site operations, management and customers. · Answer data requests from operations, including ad hoc queries, data extracts and data validation. · Make small enhancements and bug fixes to internal applications. · Support the launch of the new picking application: testing, data setup, user training, go live support and post launch issue resolution. · Document queries, reports, application changes and support procedures. On site application and hardware support · Act as the first point of contact for IT and application issues at the East Chicago site. · Install, configure and troubleshoot production label and document printers, including Zebra and similar thermal printers. · Set up, maintain and troubleshoot laptops, scanners and other end user devices. · Diagnose connectivity issues and work with the network team to resolve them when required. · Log, track and resolve tickets in our IT service management system, escalating to the Service Desk or other teams when needed. · Support warehouse users with the WMS and related applications. Position Characteristics The problems you will solve. A label printer goes down ahead of a shipment. A report does not match what operations sees on the floor. Your job is to work out whether the issue sits with a device, an application, the data or the network, then fix it or bring in the right team with a clear picture of what is happening. Ownership and decisions. You will own first line diagnosis and resolution at the site and set priorities across the requests that come in. Application changes go through code review, testing and version control with the Development Team Lead, and network issues are worked through with the network team. Your team. You will report to the IT Manager, Service Desk, and work day to day with the Service Desk and the operations teams at East Chicago. Growth and Development The breadth of what this team is building means a lot of learning in a short time. Over your first one to two years, you can expect to: · Deepen your SQL and reporting skills on live production data. · Learn code review, testing and version control practices, with mentorship from senior developers. · Take a new application from rollout through stabilization. · Understand warehouse operations end to end, from the floor to customer facing systems. With that foundation, the role can grow toward broader development work as the team grows. After probation, you will have a formal performance and development review to agree on goals, followed by regular check ins with your manager. Position Requirements What you bring · 3 to 5 years of workplace experience in application support, development, reporting or a related IT role. · Working knowledge of SQL, including joins, aggregations and subqueries in SQL Server, PostgreSQL or similar. · Experience building reports in Power BI, SSRS or similar tools. · Hands on experience troubleshooting printers, laptops and end user hardware. · A working understanding of networking basics (IP addressing, DNS, wireless) to diagnose issues alongside a network team. · Clear communication with technical and non technical users. · The ability to manage several requests at once and set sensible priorities. Nice to have · Experience in a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing or automotive environment. · Exposure to ERP or WMS systems. · Familiarity with Python, C#, JavaScript or another scripting or programming language. · Experience with Zebra printers, ZPL label formats or handheld scanners. · Experience supporting a software rollout or go live. · A diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent experience. If you meet most of the requirements and are keen to learn the rest, we would still like to hear from you. Work Conditions · Fully on site at our East Chicago, Indiana facility, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. · Office and warehouse settings, including time on the floor around operating equipment. Personal protective equipment is provided. · Ability to lift up to 10 kg (about 22 lb) for hardware setup and moves. · Occasional extended hours during go live periods or production issues. What We Offer · A salary of $68,000 to $73,000 per year, your own office space, plus a benefits package once you complete your probation period. · Hands on experience across reporting, data and live production applications, including the launch of a new picking application. · A growing team where your ideas are heard and acted on.
