We're on a mission to redefine the customer experience, and we need a passionate Systems Administrator - Customer Onboarding and Transitions to join our transitions team in New South Wales. This role is responsible for the successful technical onboarding of new Managed Services customers across Australia. The role combines hands-on systems administration, infrastructure engineering, documentation, technical discovery and customer engagement. The successful candidate will travel to customer locations to assess environments, deploy and configure technology, remediate identified issues and transition customers into the Managed Services operating model. This is a hands-on, customer-facing engineering role suited to someone who enjoys variety, travel and working directly with customers to build and improve their technology environments. What you'll do: - Travel nationally to customer sites to onboard new Managed Services customers and assess their IT environments. - Perform technical discovery across servers, endpoints, networks, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, security and backup platforms. - Deploy, configure and validate monitoring, management and security tools, ensuring customers are fully operational and support-ready. - Administer and support Windows Server environments, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, VMware and Hyper-V platforms. - Deliver infrastructure upgrades, migrations, remediation activities, backup solutions and disaster recovery initiatives. - Identify, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and risks before customers transition to Business-as-Usual (BAU) support. - Document customer environments, create network and infrastructure diagrams, and provide clear technical recommendations and handovers. - Collaborate with Transition Managers, Service Desk, Systems, Network and Security teams to deliver onboarding projects on time. - Build strong customer relationships, communicate technical concepts clearly, and provide a seamless onboarding experience from discovery through to transition. Requirements What you'll bring: - 3+ years’ experience in Systems Administration, Infrastructure Engineering or a Managed Services (MSP) environment. - Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Entra ID. - Solid networking knowledge across DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP and VLANs. - Experience supporting and troubleshooting complex infrastructure environments. - Exposure to VMware, Hyper-V, endpoint management and remote monitoring and management (RMM) platforms. - Strong documentation, problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills. - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers and stakeholders. - A current Australian Driver’s Licence and the ability to travel regularly across Australia.
