We are looking for a Systems Administrator – Client IT Operations to manage and support IT environments for multiple Manayill Consulting clients. This is not primarily a desktop-support position. The Systems Administrator will be expected to take operational responsibility for client systems, users, devices, accounts, connectivity, access, security, monitoring and related IT infrastructure. As our client base grows, the successful candidate will be expected to manage multiple independent client environments while maintaining strict separation of credentials, data, permissions and documentation. Key ResponsibilitiesClient IT Administration Manage day-to-day IT operations for assigned client environments. Responsibilities may include: User account creation, modification, suspension and termination Employee onboarding and offboarding Access and permission management Password and MFA administration Email and collaboration platform administration Windows workstation administration Remote user support Software installation and configuration Patch and update management Endpoint security Licence administration Asset tracking Backup monitoring Troubleshooting user and system issues The administrator may support multiple client organizations and must maintain clear separation between each client’s systems, credentials, documentation and data. Microsoft 365 & Google Workspace Administer cloud productivity environments including, where applicable: Microsoft 365 Microsoft 365 Admin Center Exchange Online fundamentals Entra ID / identity administration Users and groups MFA Licences Password resets Account suspension Mailbox access/delegation Security settings Audit and sign-in logs Google Workspace Google Admin Console User administration Groups Gmail administration Google Drive access MFA / 2-Step Verification Suspended and terminated accounts Email routing fundamentals Security and audit logs Licence administration Windows & Endpoint Administration Windows 10/11 administration Workstation provisioning User profiles and permissions Software deployment Remote troubleshooting Windows security BitLocker fundamentals Antivirus/endpoint protection Patch management Remote Desktop Device inventory Printer/peripheral troubleshooting Windows Server and Active Directory experience will be an advantage. Networking The candidate should have a strong practical understanding of: TCP/IP LAN/WAN fundamentals DHCP DNS NAT Public and private IP addresses Static IPs VPNs Firewalls Routers Wi-Fi networks Ports and protocols Remote access The administrator should be capable of diagnosing connectivity problems rather than simply escalating every network issue. Security & Access Control Security is an important part of this position. Responsibilities include: MFA enforcement Least-privilege access Privileged/admin account management Employee access revocation Suspicious-login investigation Endpoint security Account security Access reviews Security log review Password and credential handling Basic incident response Documentation of security-related changes The candidate should understand why administrator credentials should not be casually shared and why access must be traceable to individual users. Multi-Client Environment Management The Systems Administrator may simultaneously support several independent client organizations. The candidate must demonstrate disciplined management of: Separate credentials Separate administrator accounts Client-specific VPNs Client-specific devices Client-specific documentation Access permissions Security policies Software licences Support tickets Escalation procedures Information or access belonging to one client must never be exposed to another client. Monitoring & Incident Response Monitor systems and services assigned to Manayill Consulting. Respond to system alerts. Investigate outages and service degradation. Determine business impact and severity. Escalate appropriately when necessary. Maintain incident records. Document root causes for significant incidents. Follow through until service restoration. The administrator may occasionally be required to respond to critical issues outside normal working hours for client environments covered by support agreements. Documentation Maintain accurate technical documentation including: Client IT environment documentation User/access registers Device inventory Network information Software and licence inventory Administrator access records Backup procedures Onboarding/offboarding checklists Standard operating procedures Incident records Recovery procedures Documentation should allow another authorized Manayill engineer to understand and support the environment if required. Cloud & Server Fundamentals Working knowledge of one or more of the following is desirable: Microsoft Azure AWS Google Cloud Platform Linux administration Virtual machines Cloud networking DNS SSL/TLS certificates Web/server fundamentals Backup and recovery This is not a DevOps position, and advanced Kubernetes, Terraform or software development experience is not required. Required Experience 3–5 years of professional Systems Administration / IT Administration experience Hands-on Windows administration experience Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace administration Networking troubleshooting User and permission administration MFA and account security Remote support Endpoint administration Basic security incident handling Technical documentation Experience supporting business users Preferred Experience Additional consideration will be given for: Microsoft Entra ID Exchange Online Google Workspace administration Active Directory Windows Server Linux Azure/AWS/GCP Firewall administration VPN configuration Endpoint management Backup systems Monitoring systems IT service/helpdesk platforms Supporting international clients Working in an MSP or multi-client environment What We Are Looking For We want someone who can take ownership. When a user reports: “I can’t connect.” We expect the administrator to investigate the problem systematically. When a security alert occurs, we expect the administrator to understand the potential impact and act appropriately. When an employee leaves, we expect the administrator to know what access needs to be reviewed and revoked. When a new client is onboarded, we expect the administrator to help establish a secure, documented and supportable environment. We value practical troubleshooting ability, security awareness, documentation and ownership more than memorised technical definitions.
