The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, operation, maintenance, repair, and cleaning of swimming pools, spas, fountains, and water features. The role requires ensuring that all pool systems operate efficiently, water quality meets regulatory standards, and facilities are maintained in a safe, clean, and operational condition for guests, residents, or facility users. Qualifications: High school diploma, technical certificate, or vocational qualification in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, water treatment, or a related field. Previous experience in swimming pool maintenance, water treatment, mechanical maintenance, or a similar technical role is preferred. Good knowledge of swimming pool systems and equipment. Understanding of water chemistry and chemical dosing. Knowledge of pumps, filtration systems, heaters, chlorination systems, dosing equipment, valves, and associated pipework. Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Ability to use hand tools, testing equipment, and maintenance equipment safely. Knowledge of occupational health and safety procedures. Understanding of safe handling, storage, and use of pool chemicals. Ability to read equipment manuals, technical information, and basic drawings or schematics. Good communication and record-keeping skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team. Relevant local certification or training in pool operation, water treatment, or occupational safety is an advantage. Responsibilities: Clean swimming pools, surrounding areas, gutters, skimmers, and water features. Remove leaves, debris, dirt, and other contaminants from pool water. Vacuum and brush pool surfaces as required. Clean and maintain skimmer baskets, strainers, filters, and pump baskets. Maintain pool decks and surrounding equipment areas in a clean and safe condition. Carry out routine maintenance according to established schedules. Test pool water regularly for appropriate chemical and physical parameters. Monitor and maintain appropriate chlorine, pH, alkalinity, and other required water-quality levels. Add and adjust pool chemicals in accordance with approved procedures and manufacturer instructions. Monitor chemical dosing systems and ensure correct operation. Maintain accurate records of water-quality test results and chemical usage. Identify abnormal water conditions and take appropriate corrective action. Inspect and maintain swimming pool pumps, filters, heaters, chlorinators, dosing systems, valves, and pipework. Check equipment for leaks, unusual noise, vibration, overheating, or other signs of malfunction. Backwash, clean, and maintain filtration systems as required. Inspect and maintain circulation and water-treatment systems. Carry out preventive maintenance to reduce equipment failures and downtime. Lubricate, adjust, or replace components where appropriate. Diagnose faults in pool mechanical and water-treatment systems. Carry out minor plumbing, mechanical, and electrical repairs within the technician's level of authorization and competence. Replace damaged valves, seals, fittings, pipes, filters, pumps, and other components when required. Identify electrical or mechanical faults and escalate major repairs to qualified specialists. Test repaired equipment to confirm safe and proper operation. Conduct routine inspections of pool facilities and equipment. Monitor water circulation, filtration, heating, and chemical-treatment systems. Check pool equipment rooms and plant rooms for abnormal conditions. Monitor water levels and identify leaks or unusual water loss. Report equipment failures and maintenance requirements to the supervisor or facilities manager. Work Location: In person
