We're seeking an experienced, highly organized, and proactive Supply Chain & Operations Specialist to join our growing team on a part-time basis.

Position Overview

We're looking for an experienced supply chain professional to coordinate production runs with contract manufacturers, source raw materials and ingredients, manage purchasing and inventory, and oversee domestic and international logistics.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing multiple projects, communicating with suppliers and manufacturers, and ensuring production schedules and customer delivery commitments are met.

This position requires someone who is resourceful, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Location & Work Arrangement:

This is a fully remote, part-time position open to candidates throughout the United States. While we welcome qualified applicants natiowide, preference will be given to candidates loacted in the Kansas City metropolitan area.

Production Coordination

• Coordinate production runs with domestic and international contract manufacturers.
• Manage production schedules, timelines, and delivery commitments.
• Ensure required raw materials, ingredients, and packaging components are available to support production.
• Monitor production progress and proactively address potential delays or issues.
• Coordinate the movement of raw materials and finished products between suppliers, manufacturers, and customers.

Sourcing & Procurement

• Source raw materials, ingredients, packaging components, and other production-related materials.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, pricing, reliability, and lead times.
• Request and compare supplier quotations and assist with pricing negotiations.
• Manage purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers and shippers

Inventory & Order Management

• Monitor inventory levels and product availability.
• Track raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods.
• Manage purchase orders, sales orders, and order acknowledgments.
• Coordinate order fulfillment and ensure customer delivery requirements are met.
• Maintain accurate inventory and purchasing records.

Shipping & Logistics

• Coordinate domestic and international shipments with manufacturers, freight forwarders, and shipping carriers.
• Prepare and review shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and other required documents.
• Track shipments and proactively resolve delays or delivery issues.
• Ensure timely and accurate communication regarding shipment status.

Operations & Communication

• Maintain accurate inventory, supply chain records and documentation.
• Communicate regularly with internal team members, suppliers, manufacturers, and customers.
• Identify opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
• Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain operations, procurement, production coordination, or related functions.
• Experience coordinating production runs with contract manufacturers.
• Demonstrated experience sourcing raw materials, ingredients, or manufacturing components.
• Strong understanding of purchasing, inventory management, and logistics.
• Experience working with domestic and international suppliers and manufacturers.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in the nutraceutical, dietary supplement, pharmaceutical, food ingredient, or related industries is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with international shipping and import/export documentation is a plus.
