Supply Chain Operations Manager

The Operations Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective production, warehousing/storage and distribution of the Company’s products ensuring safety and wellness of both products and employees involved in the discharge of the logistics function. 1. LOGISTICS – 25% a. Commits to maintaining the established standard of quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods. b. Ensures correct and timely recording of inventory movements and proposes/recommends strategic ways to increase inventory turns, manage and/or reduce operational wastes, and optimize customer service. c. Ensures alignment with supply chain activities in relation to sales forecast/quotas. d. Implements, monitors, and develops the proper implementation of identified warehousing strategies to maximize the efficiency of warehouse utilization. e. Controls and completes the complete order cycle. f. Maintains a monitoring system for slow-moving products. g. Sets and communicates the delivery schedules to sales team on a day-to-day basis. h. Completes the process of coordination with forwarding companies to ensure efficient delivery to customers. i. Monitors the movement of deliveries and ensures that prescribed delivery commitments are fulfilled. 1. ADMINISTRATIVE – 20% a. Maintains accurate, complete, and up-to-date inventory records and ensures that inventory reports are prepared and submitted to the VP-Logistics and/or Finance on a weekly basis. b. Provides appropriate feedback to one’s immediate superior in relation to providing suppliers’ performance feedback, and/or to discuss alignment with production forecasts and/or their movements. c. Participates in strategic meetings of Sales and Marketing teams to forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure availability of materials and products. d. Writes, updates, and implements an efficient and effective set of policies and procedures in Logistics, Warehousing (Supply Chain) aligned with the overall directions of the Company to maximize coordination of supply chain management activities with other critical functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, production, and quality assurance. Such includes programs and activities covering health, safety and security. e. Ensures implementation of efficient safety and health protocols in the Company’s warehouses, including proper maintenance of vehicles/trucks. f. Implements the approved deployment plans of goods and routes of delivery vehicle, and submits recommendations for improvements. g. Cascades implementing guidelines to warehouse personnel in alignment with corporate-wide policies, procedures, and directions. h. Approval of the following forms: · Prduct/Material Receiving Report (PMRR) / Goods Receipt · Product Transfer Advice (PTA) / Goods Issue · Job Order (JO) / Production Order · Authority to Load (ATL) i. Evaluates the warehouse facilities to ensure efficient and effective storage of all products and supply items, and submits these to document recommendations for improvement. j. Plans, prepares, and adjusts work schedules and duty assignments according to budget allotments, customer needs, problems, and work-loads. k. Ensures that petty cash and cash advances are liquidated regularly to support day-to-day operational requirements. 3. PRODUCTION – 15% a. Ensures that production schedules are followed to stay on track of delivery schedules. b. Conducts site visits to toll formulators along with the Warehouse Manager/Warehouse Supervisor to ensure consistent adherence to quality standards of LEADS. c. Ensures that raw materials and packaging materials needed for production are sufficient based on approved plan. 3. CORPORATE FINANCE – 15% a. Controls and monitors all related costs and expenditures of the Warehouses ensuring that these are properly planned, budgeted, and approved for implementation. b. Reviews and follows through all related activities to ensure appropriate use and disposal of resources. c. Ensures full compliance of employees in relation to submission of reports, liquidation of cash advances, reimbursements of work/benefit expenses, etc. d. Ensures the efficient allocation of work-related tools, technology, training resources for his/her sales organization. 3. PEOPLE MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP – 20% a. Completes operational requirements by properly assigning employees, and make recommendations for change in roles in order to maximize employee motivation and promote team productivity. b. Leads a change management process to build understanding of organizational changes, while establishing needed support from key leadership stakeholders, to ensure continuous employee engagement c. Maintains the approved/current manpower complement by selecting, orienting, and continuously training employees. d. Maintains the job results of the approved/current manpower complement by constantly and periodically counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising their job results. e. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops/trainings; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. f. Ensures that the warehouse teams are aligned with the same objectives and activities at all times. g. Provides specific guidelines and directions to team members in relation to compliance, discipline, and human relations. 6. Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate superior. – 5% QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS 1. Minimum Education Requirement a. Bachelor’s Degree Course, preferably Major in Chemical Engineering. b. Must be a licensed Chemical Engineer. 2. Minimum Job-Related Experience a. At least three (3) years of related work experience in Logistics, Supply Chain or Plant Operations in a leadership role, b. with attendance to a comprehensive Supply Chain training course, lasting more than 5 training days, c. or at least two (2) years of actual work experience in managing Plant operations and Supply Chain function in a leadership role. 3.
